CHAUVET DJ (CHDDJ) Projection Lighting Effect, Black (Mini Kinta ILS)

I love how compact the lights are. Very quite and very bright. The beams of light definitely go a good distance. Bought 2 of them and filled up a big back yard with ease. Would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Great lights - cover a lot of space

I bought these as a less-expensive way to add some motion and interest to my DJ lighting.Unfortunately I had a hard time finding information about these online (I only found one video that actually shows what the output looks like, and it was pretty limited). But I decided to give them a shot, and here's what I found:Pros:- Compared to other light options with motion effects they are definitely less-expensive- The available motion and effects work to add interestMixed:- They're plastic (except for the hanging/structural elements) which makes them light weight. They seem to be built fine, but I definitely wouldn't store them in an unpadded container or loose in a bag/case.Cons:- The biggest surprise for me (maybe I didn't read the product info carefully enough?) is that the colors are fairly limited. I expected that it would use multiple multi-color LED lights (like what's in a par light, but with motion to be able to create a reasonable range of colors). However, from what I can tell they use a white light and color wheels/filters to create color -- so the actual colors you get out of them are pretty limited. (For example, if you tell them to use a color other than red, green, blue, or white, what you'll get is spots of two colors that in theory would mix to create the desired color, but in fact are separate spots that overlap partially or not at all and hence don't mix.) As an alternative I have switched to the Chauvet DJ Kinta HP, which supposedly does use multi-color LEDs as its light sources, but admittedly I haven't seen much difference so far.

The media could not be loaded. This kinta is definitely mini, but the leds are bright! And the sound mode is amazing! The light reacts to every beat of the music making it an amazing show on the dance floor. I use it everytime I want to blast music.

My favorite light of all time. This covers a huge space for such a small light. I love it's versatility. Best light purchase I ever made as a DJ.

Love this light. I purchased two for a 9’ tree and they cover a 30’x30’ spaces very well. They pick up sound very well, don’t have them tied to a DMX board yet. Very lite and light up a room well.
