Good, well priced ram upgrade.
I was a little apprehensive ordering this extra ram for my iMac, as the are not from Apple. Plus I tend to think that you get what you pay for and the Apple upgrade is rather expensive compared to this. I have had these installed for three months, at the time of reviewing, and they are working perfectly. The operation to fit them is on the Apple web site and easy to follow. Just make sure that you are ordering the correct specification for your computer, this applies where ever you buy from, you have to get your year of manufacture and build specification to do this, they are all available in your iMac.

Easier than you think!
As a "casual" user of a Macbook Pro 2012 13" model I had noticed my 4GB original allotment did seem to be fully utilised.Reading up on the web showed that, unless video editing or gaming (not interested in either at present), 16GB would be overkill.I elected instead to buy 8GB at less than 1/2 Apples price and shell out for a copy of Clean My Mac 2 with the funds saved - an app which keeps the hard drive clear of rubbish, reasoning the two together will keep everything running smoothly. Its always jarring to take apart ones prized gadgets but following the clear instructions on:-[...]proved very easy and straightforward for the installation which went without a hitch.Applications now run smoothly and, checking my memory usage I do seem to edge into the "new" extra 4GB from time to time which must avoid hard drive access and assist in general speed.I am very pleased with my purchase which arrived very quickly and excellently packaged.

Fantastic ram that has made mid 2012 MacBook Pro much more efficient
As a student I often run emails, Pages, Numbers, Keynote and Adobe Reader simultaneously and performance would become sluggish and my Mac would often hang. Swap used in activity monitor was often very high, so I decided to upgrade. Since upgrading, I have not experienced these issues. My mid 2012 MacBook Pro has become much more efficient when multitasking. If you're a multi-tasker like me, the upgrade is 100% worth it. Also very easy to install!

Upgrade exceeded my expectations
Upgraded from 4GB 1333mhz to 8GB 1600mhz on my early 2011 Macbook pro. The reason why I upgraded is because I have so many tabs open then I listen to songs/ watch videos then all of a sudden that deadly rainbow circle shows up and my mac was frozen half the time. I upgraded to these babies and my mac is now on fire! It feels like a brand new laptop. Didn't think it would make such a dramatic difference. Worth the upgrade 100%

Aperture is now much quicker after doubling RAM to 8GB
Aperture on my Macbook Pro mid 2012 started to work with more and more delays when I moved between files and folders as the library grew. That problem has now disappeared so I am very pleased. Runs well with 60GB of photos and videos even if other programs like Safari, Outlook, Excel etc are open. However, I have not noticed any general improvement in speed for other applications or when starting up. But apart from Aperture, I do not use any heavy duty applications so maybe that is not surprising. My MBP does not seem to heat more than before.I had to buy a really small screwdriver but found it easily at the local hardware store. Only one of the screws was very tight but gave in in the end.

Excellent product - would recommend to anyone
Excellent product - would recommend to anyoneI upgraded both the memo and the drive (from HDD to SSD) about 12 months ago. Both were easy to fit and have made a massive difference to speed of my 2012 Macbook Pro.

Works great
Originally, I didn't think my RAM could be upgraded, I have a 15" mid-2012 MacBook Pro with 4GB. I read some of the reviews from others who have this model and even though the Apple website says it only holds 8GB, apparently people have been successful with 2 8GB sticks. I don't use my laptop for gaming, but I use fairly large programs to build websites, and just a lot of general multitasking, so I opted for getting 2 sticks of 4GB (so 8GB total). It was easy to install, I watched a YouTube video for my specific model. I did have to purchase a Phillips head #00 screwdriver from the hardware store, it was $5. Make sure you put the screws into a little bowl or something because the top right 3 are longer but the others are the smallest screws I have ever seen. When I first turned on my computer again, only one RAM stick was reading, the other said "empty". I switched them out again, putting the top stick on the bottom and the one I had on the bottom, I put on the top just to make sure it wasn't the RAM itself. It wasn't, I was an idiot and didn't have it in right I guess. Second time booting up, I went to About this Mac and Memory, it was reading correctly at 8GB total. The first thing I noticed was that when I switched user accounts, it loaded right away, as before it would take a good minute or more to switch over to the other user's log in screen. Also, my iMessages app would take ages to start and load messages, it worked almost instantly. My MacBook is running really fast as compared to before, so I am very happy with this purchase! I can't speak to using a total of 16GB of RAM because I didn't install that, BUT from other reviews I definitely think that it's fine with this particular model. Here I was looking at buying a new MacBook Pro, I just saved myself literally $1000 lol! This brought some new life back into my computer, so if you're looking for speed and loaded apps/multitasking it's totally worth it, I definitely think I have myself a couple more years on this bad boy.

So far so good
I have a macbook pro 13" 2012 version. The maximum I can get are 2 x 8gb, but I purchased this one just to be safe. I got a 2 x 4gb. When I first used it, I can tell how easy it is to use my laptop. With my old RAM, I had a hard time using Word and Spotify at the same time. I always get the rainbow wheel when I open any pdf file. Now, my computer is faster and works well with any common applications opened at once. I just hope this RAM will last longer than a year.

go for it! works great with MacBook Pro mid 2012 13' md101hna
been using it for a week now, have to say the increase in performance from 4 gb ram is definitely noticeable. Big apps like iTunes and Dota no longer crash when I try to close them, and the overall snappiness and responsiveness of the macbook pro md101 has increased! didn't go for 16gb cause 8gb is the max apple suggests for this model, even though 16gb has been widely reported as being fine, i went with 8 to be on the safe side plus i dont think 16 over 8 will make any noticeable difference to the ordinary user. the mac currently uses about 5.5-6.5 gb ram with latest OS el cap, and all my apps open. apple has even upgraded the macbook air 13 with 8gb ram cause they know thats what el cap and todays apps need.so unless youre only going to use email and chrome and are buying the MBP mid 2012 md101 i recommend buying this right of the bat with the md101,considering changing ram doesnt even void your 1 year warranty just remember to keep the old ram in case you run into any other warranty related problems, as they may refuse service with the new ram in the machine, swap it out then take it to apple. also when upgrading ram,IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE BATTERY CONNECTOR apple doesnt recommend it.here is the link for ram change instructions.[...] people have reported facing issues dude to removing battery connector.almost forgot to thank amazon for a prompt fuss-free delivery as usual and great packing!
