So far so good , i had assembly issue fixed by Silverline direct
Considered one of these for a while. Decided to go for it - tbh bought one on ebay and it didn't arrive. Hard to judge size but when it arrives it does feel and look substantial, I've assembled lots of tools but has to be said the instructions are absolutely useless. I don't do you tube videos but decided to try and make one as although not complicated , you can easily use wrong screws and have to go back steps to fix. When it came to side circular part I scratched my head for 30 mins , only yo realise I had a faulty part(centre piece hadn't been machined out to accept fixing screw) As I wanted to use the flat bed mostly and had a job lined up I contacted Silverline directly - I'm sure Amazon would have helped but felt would have taken longer and really didn't want to sent back after spending an hour wreastlng to get it assembled. Within a week SIlverline had replaced part., SO far so good, makes quick work of taking rough edges of pallet wood ( my primary use) feels powerful and well made. I don't have space to bolt down but heavy enough not to really need. Changing the belt for different grits seems to be a bit of a pain, not a quick process which is a shame . Glad I bought - watch out for my youtube video !

Get the right expectations and you’ll be fine.
The belt sander is only 350watts. It’s also around £100 (at time of writing) The belt sander instructions are not great. A series of pictures give clues where the screws go. Mine was missing one of the dust extraction screws so instead of 4, only 3. I managed to find a replacement in my overgrowing odd screws and bolts box. After around 10 minutes if assembling it was good to go. The sander itself seems ok. Smaller pieces of work are handled nicely by the belt sander and for more detailed the disc sander works well too. Any excess pressure on this sander will cause the unit to either stop or bounce around on the desk. Remember though that this is a £100 belt sander. To lock it in any position than horizontal, there’s a nylock nut near the hinge you need to tighten that before use in any position. To make it more stable secure it to the desk. I’ll probably drill a few holes through the base so I can get all four corners secure for a safer experience. Overall happy with the purchase.

Works well for the price
For the price it is a good sander. I have used it for 2 weeks now. You will need to buy more belts to get a smoother finish. You can lock the position by tightening a bold at the base. It is a bit tricky to get a good right angle. There were some screws missing but it still worked. The instructions to build could be clearer but it is not difficult to put together. Took me about 10 mins to build. I am happy with it. I just make children’s toys so not very demanding work. I use a dremmel for finishing.

DON'T EVEN BOTHER - ITS CR&P
Absolutely rubbish. The instructions to put this together are not clear The quality of it is cheaper than cheap The belt sander has two problems (1) it's not possible to lock it in the upright position - making it impossible to sand anything vertically as it just falls down.. Dispite the picture showing this is 'possible' (2) the belt doesn't stay straight, regardless of how much or little tension is applied to it and then jams and stops the whole sander from spinning. The sanding disc plate is made of what appears to be cheap alloy and is not going to last.... The paint is already starting to flake off. A number of screws / bolts were loose The plug is not a standard UK style plug - but a euro plug put into some rubbish adaptor & therefore doesn't fit into some sockets. Far too much cheap plastic on this with badly fitting screw holes. The best quality part is the Allen key they give you to put the grub screw in to hold the rotating disc..... I'm not kidding either. Do yourself a favour and buy a better one.. Trust me your thank me for doing so. Already started the returns process with this piece of junk.

Good value for money
Great little versitile sander, at an affordable price. Does what I need it to do. I've pushed it quite hard grinding knives and it's held up well. RPM is a little slower than I would like.

Value for Money Sander?
Have used this for a couple of days now, but quite a bit. Noting some of the other reviews I would say I bought a Silverline band saw a while back and was very disappointed with it, so I bought this with some trepidation. Assembly instructions are a bit lacking, there were washers missing in my case, and it was actually damage on receipt (dented), but perfectly functional. Changing the belt is a pain, and there is a gap between the metal ‘plate’ and the tool rest that is annoying. Perhaps I can adjust something there.? It is possible, with a square and some attention to adjust the disc table perfectly square. There are two vacuum extraction point but take care adjusting the housing when assembling as it can foul the table mounting rod, then you have to disassemble. Just rotate the housing as far as you can counterclockwise to give you enough room. I sand small parts on this and don’t think the speed is too low, and feel the power is fine - I still have finger tips! It is noisier than I expected and definitely needs bolting, or at least clamping down. Not found a way to lock the belt arm vertically (other than using the vacuum cleaner nozzle which does me), but I may be not seeing something there On the whole I think this is actually a good enough starter tool for the money!

Just what I wanted
This is a nice product. Easy to set up and easy to use. The tilt arm is very handy. And the 45 deg stand also. Would recommend

Schnelle Lieferung, gute Verpackung, deutsche Gebrauchsanleitung.

A éviter
