Not cheap at about four bob each but what was required.
Who would have thought that buying ½", gauge 4, brass, round headed (domed) screws would have been so difficult? Not finding them on the shelves in my local B+Q, I asked one of the younger male assistants. He looked lost before he told m that he hadn't a clue what I was talking about even when I translated the ½" bit into metric. I suggested that he sent for a much older man who might know about such things which he did. The man who came was in his 60's but after a diligent search on his part, had to admit that B+Q apparently didn't sell them anymore. I found myself thanking him for at least knowing what I was talking about! And so it was the same in another well known trade and general public outlet that I met with the same response from a girl who looked about 14! I went home muttering and in utter disbelief.Once there I immediately consulted good old Amazon, quickly found what I wanted and placed an order. Within 24 hours they popped through the letter-box, exactly as described. People moan about Amazon destroying the High Street but the High Street has only itself to blame! When I was a young man 50+ years ago, in any town there was usually a choice of hardware shops with their tungsten lit, gloomy interiors and thousands of small drawers behind the counter. There to be greeted by a tubby older man, usually smoking a pipe, in brown drill-coat and wearing a flat hat, who would instantly produce a gross (144) box for about 1/9d. Those were the days my friend, that they should never end. Unfortunately they did! Sigh! Thank you Amazon for filling this gap in the market!

Brass Screws
Good quality brass screws, unfortunately ordered the wrong size to use for an outside ceramic wall plaque but they will come in handy to use for other jobs around the house another time.

Perfect for a restoration job
Lovely quality product. I've been restoring an old Singer sewing machine and the carry case needed all it's old screws replaced. After measuring up, these fit the bill perfectly, looking exactly like the old ones (except brighter and less knarled!). I'm very pleased with the result and would happily recommend this product and seller.

Used these brass screws to attach 1/4" jack socket of instrument pick-up to a tenor ukulele - needed good quality brass screws of correct size/depth that won't rust - these are perfect. Its hard to get small size actual brass screws these days - often only brassed onesare sold in DIY shops.

Not bad
A couple came without the top indentation and a couple cut down too short but on the whole ok
