I use make-up every day and I had wanted to buy new make-up brushes for a while. I was choosing between this, EmaxDesign 10 + 1, and the bigger 10 piece Lamora set. In the end, I realised that I could buy both the Emax and this set for the same price as the bigger Lamora set, so I did. Now let me tell you - Lamora is the real deal. I wish I had bought the big set. I was hoping that all these top rated Amazon brushes were produced in the same factory with different branding (and ultimately, different prices), however I was clearly very wrong. My Lamora brushes are really fantastic, super soft, well-designed, and pretty much complete my make-up bag. (I would like a small brush for concealer too - but hey, this is why you should buy the bigger set ;) ) You almost don't need the brushes to say what they are to be used for (which they do) because the brushes are all so different that it is quite obvious. Like other reviewers, I must say that there is a strong smell when you first open the packet, but this easily goes away with washing. The case for the brushes, although not made of leather as per the picture, still looks very smart. These brushes are far better in quality than clinique & mac brushes which I have owned in the past, and I really love the kabuki style.In comparison - on the very first day, one of my emax brushes broke off at the head and many others are already loose. They are no where near as soft as the Lamora brushes. They do give excellent value for money, and I do still use one of the smaller brushes everyday for under eye concealer BUT you pretty much get the same brush 5 times over & all of the brushes are too big for really detailed make-up application. If you are looking to fill in gaps in your brush collection, Emax is ideal. If not, I would recommend that you spend a bit more and buy Lamora.(I have been using all products for 2 months now)

As a Makeup Artist i am always looking for new brushes that i can use on clients and myself and always adding to my enourmous collection when i find brushes i love and am not a stranger to very expensive good quality brushes.I have knowledge of what to expect from a high performing brush..These brushes came in a lovely looking case and individually wrapped to prevent them rubbing against each other. I have to say i was blown away by the look, feel and overall quality of these brushes. They were not just good for the price, they were exceptional...and looked very expensive. I was very impressed that they were shaped nicely and the ferrule had a firm grip to the handle and bristles. They had a nice weight to them and were sturdily built, but even though they look great on your dresser and as a gift, the main thing is if they produce amazing results also. Well the answer is they worked amazingly..They were just so soft on the skin and did not irritate my sensitive skin at all. They blended the product to a seamless finish and honestly i could not believe the results. This is a must have and anyone thinking of buying it, should do so. With so many brush sets on the market, its hard to find one that works. This really really does!!.This is high end quality at low end prices...lastly..after a few washes, i did not notice any shedding at all..for this price grab it with both hands!!

For the price of these brushes I am satisfied so far they look the part and are very soft personally big prefer this as I have sensitive skin. The flat brush is great for my liquid foundation and no hairs have fell out yet as a lot of the reviews say. I like the eye blender brush to. Personally I prefer a bit of a bigger brush to apply eye products but its great for just the crease or underneath I'm kicking myself for not getting the 10brushes now but I am not a make up brush expert so I don't have the best brushes to compare to. Ive always used my hands to pay foundation as the foundation brushes never left a smooth finish until now so I'm happy and would definitely consider their other products in future :) if you're looking for a cheap set of brushes that leave a nice finish and don't hurt your face then these are great.

I needed new makeup brushes to replace the £30+ plus Bobbi Brown ones I've had for years, and which were literally falling to pieces, leaving stray hairs in their wake whenever I used them. I purchased these based on the positive reviews, but slightly hesitant about the quality since they were so cheap. Oh. My! They are such good quality, beautifully soft bristles and a joy to use. My skin looks amazing and they are so versatile. They come in a propped up makeup holder, which is so handy, and the quality is of a professional standard. I wish I'd purchased these ages ago, the best value brushes I've bought in my life.

Really lovely brush set; the presentation of the set looks very professional, and the brushes themselves are very soft and have lovely smooth black, sparkly handles. It's handy that the handles name what each brush is for, if you didn't know already. My only minor complaint, as many have pointed out, is the smell of the tube; it's a very strong smell and after washing my brushes and putting them back into the container, they again smelt of the packaging. I was hoping to use the packaging as a case to keep my brushes in, but due to the smell (as strong as a sharpie pen) and the fact the container is fairly loose, I won't. That being said, I still give it 5 stars, because the brushes are what's important and they are brill. Overall a very professional looking package.
