Drano Max Build Up Remover Drain Cleaner, Great for Clog Prevention, Commercial Line, 60 oz

This works well for loosening buildups in the drain resulting from mold and other minor buildups, but if you already have a clog, this will not flush it out and you will need an actual clog remover. This is more like treating the drain after the clog is removed and preventing the buildup from coming back too soon and creating a problem. Works as intended, but not a clog remover, more like a prevention method.

After unclogging and removing the food in the bathroom sink drain (don't ask), I apparently riled up the scum and other buildup of 10 years resulting in a pretty gross smell. I used this for 3 nights and the bad smell is gone. It had been skeptical but it turned out to be the right solution for my smelling problem. The drain runs fine now and it smells...well, normal, but who sticks their nose in the drain anyway.

This Drano Max Build Up Remover worked well for maintenance. It cleared up a slow drain and helped prevent buildup without any hassle. I’ll keep using it regularly for clog prevention.

This stuff really works....we have a constant slow shower, this will NOT clear a clogged drain, but it will help a slow one, just needs a few days to work....I ran out recently and within a month the water started getting up to my ankles...bought more, within 2 days it was draining good again.

To be clear, in our case, the toilet functions at probably 70% of the flushing power it should have. I would consider this to be right in the wheelhouse of Drano Max Build Up Remover's effectiveness. However, I saw no improvement using this product - despite repeated treatments over a couple of weeks. It was worth a try, but I can't see any opportunity for success with this product.

If you're worried about damaging your pipes, Drano Max Build-Up Remover might offer some peace of mind—but at a cost, both in terms of money and time. I followed all the instructions to the letter, including waiting the full 6 hours before running water again. Unfortunately, the results were underwhelming. This product seems to require far more than the recommended amount to make any real difference, which makes it an expensive option if you're dealing with significant buildup or clogs. Even after using a full bottle, I still had to deal with backup issues. For tough clogs, I’d recommend going with Drano Max Gel or investing in a drain snake instead. Bottom line: This might work for minor maintenance, but it’s not the best choice for serious clogs, especially considering its price and the amount you’d need to use.

Not sure why but when it happens you have already purchased at least one unopened Drano Bottle NOTE:, The plastic bottle (usually a silver or light grey not see through product bottle has been replaced but a partially see through bottle and not sure may have changed formula, but it seems it's been done for "good environmental purposes.

It worked perfectly in my bath tub, I followed the instructions and the small went away with the first use
