The corners are hard but middle is not as hard.
While the corners of the case are hard, the whole case isn’t as hard. Yes the middle of the case is a hard material but just not as thick as the sides. So far I love it though. I have the IPad Air 5th Gen with a case that holds the pencil and it fits fine in the case. I take it with me to work everyday so it’s nice to have the extra protection for it.
