Simple. Straight forward. I wished for more detailed instructions.
How precise is this? It appears to be a color-change thermometer that gets heated by leaks... is that a good way to check for leaks? The instructions are precise so I can just hope that if I follow them I get a representative result. Maybe I like too many technical details, but would like to have instructions for how-to-tell if I’m doing it wrong. The only technical detail in the instructions is “don’t put it in the inside IR it will melt.” Not a (figurative) warm-fuzzy.

Does it really detect microwave leakage?
As many others have stated, there is no indication that it really detects radiation. The bottom of the detector strip on my card was blue with a green border when I received it. It was still blue with a green border after I used it. There was no smiley face or any other face. Has anyone ever detected microwave leakage with this product?

Peace of Mind
I have a really old microwave circa 1980. Was here when we bought the house. I like it because it's huge even though not super powerful. This Detecto card gave me peace of mind that it was still very safe. I wrote to the oompany to confirm that it really works for detecting the problems and they said 'yes' and nicely explained why.

not what expected
I was not happy with the card...The symbols that are supposed to appear were unclear, and you couldn't tell if it was because the microwave was OK or because the product is crappy. I have tried it several times and am still uncertain of the results. Also, there are not enough instructions/explanations with the card. Microwave Leak Detector
Product was delivered on time, in great shape, and as described. The only concern I have is not being able to tell if it really works. By that I mean,if you have no leaks it doesn't display any warning. It only shows additional warning icons if there is a leak. You can't place it inside the microwave to see if the warning icons appear because it will melt. Assuming it works, I have no leaks.
