These work well for my use case. I purchased them to protect my carpet from a pretty heavy solid wood coffee table, with drawers full of stuff. They've held up well so far (more than a year), with no visible signs of cracking or breaking.Judging by the reviews, people have had problems with them under sofas and beds. Probably not a good idea to use hard plastic under such items. I would imagine that the constant stress when sitting down, followed by removal of stress when standing up, ultimately causes the material to crack.

Expected these to have a smooth bottom so furniture could be slid around carpets and floors but they are quite rough so they don't. I will buy some PTFE stickers for them so they will glide. Seem sturdily made so hopefully should last a while.

They are made of a solid plastic. So I bought eight of these to go under the wheels of the divan for my double bed. The castors are large, so the wheels had plenty of space to roll around inside which wasn't a good think in my opinion. As soon as I lay on the bed, I heard cracking sounds! Turns out, all but 2 of them now have cracks in them. Before you laugh, I'm not overweight or anything. These might work for a hard surface, however they are useless for carpet, therefore go and buy a plastic version for carpets. Further, these are too big for the castor wheels on beds... the bigger wheel on office chairs such as the Herman Miller it might work for, but you wouldn't use it for that of course, just giving you an idea for size. Just what I ordered at the right price and sturdy

Prompt delivery and looked good when they arrived. I bought them to put under the 8 castor wheels of my bed and initially they worked well but then my wife and I got into bed. After the first cracking noise,we thought it must just be a weak cup. After a week 7/8 of them are now cracked through rolling over in bed/sitting on the side of the bed etc. We are not heavy people, I weight 74kg and my wife a lot less. The bed is a standard king divan, so not heavy. So unfortunately, they do not seem strong enough for the purpose. I give it 3 stars as they are still in situ and although we may hear an occasional small crack, it seems to have stabilised and held (i.e. not split in half), so we are seeing how long they last now.
