Good machine. Instruction are not!
Have been using free weights for around a year and at 50 that's not too bad but as I went along it became obvious that going any further required more than just free weights so I invested in this. As with other reviews on here it took around 3 hours to assemble. However the instructions were wrong in a few places. Also cable was a conundrum to figure out as when assembled it was too short for the weight stack. Then I used the chain to add around a foot that was needed to nest the weight stack correctly. Not sure if this was correct but as I say once assembled the cable was definitely not long enough. The way I have it now seems strong enough. Will see. Good decent workout and weight is more than enough. P.S don't forget to go round and double check you've tightened all the bolts after assembly lol.

Fine if your Mr Olympia...
This item is of good quality and easy to assemble. Took me 3 hours alone. The only problem I have is that with a 2:1 pulley and 8 plates at 15lb doubles to a 30lb weight increment each plate, which it does tell you on the advert. I (stupidly) assumed, you could remove a pulley to make it a 1:1 until your strength progresses and you can start to use at a 2:1, but I’ve looked all over and it appears not. So basically, I’m not strong enough to progress up 30lb each time, and I can’t lift the next weight up. It could do some serious damage.I’ve contacted puretec fitness to see if I have read this correctly on how it works (although I can absolutely see no other way) and if I have then I wanted 4.5kg weight so I can swap over from the standard 15lb plates so I may be able to use this thing, as with a 2:1 pulley system I could probably just about manage a 19lb increment going up one notch, but 3 working days later and not a single reply to my email, I have emailed again to ask if they are going to look into it but nothing. (I mentied on the phone and was told to email my query). If I do get a reply I will update this review accordingly. This thing is probably meant for people competing in the Olympia but for the average person looking to increase their strength I wouldn’t bother. No one progresses up in 30lb increments without serious injury.

Excellent for the price
Excellent for the price, there's a few scratches on it which is disappointing when buying a brand new product but nothing too drastic. I don't have the issues the other review described with the jumps between weights being too large. Took about two hours to put together by myself, the worst part was the cables but a bit of trial and error and I got there. It's a really well built bit of kit definitely recommend.

Good for the price, but a bit to compact.
A bit on the small side, I'm about six foot (183cm) I wouldn't recommend this for anyone larger.
