Nice product
Delivered on time and in perfect shape by Amazon. Great service as usual. Product is as described. I have used one of these previously on a bathtub that subsequently never leaked in all the years I owned it (over 6 years). So it was a no brainer using it again. There is nothing worse than trying to sort out a shower or bathtub leak after all the tiles have been installed. Traditional silicone and grout is inadequate in my opinion. You always need a bath seal of some description and undertile bath seals like this one that are invisible once tiling is done is the most discrete way to achieve this. Adhesion is ok provided you install it correctly. The glue strips works like a contact adhesive-- i.e. it is a one shot deal that you should try your best to get right first time. If you install this badly repositioning it is difficult as the strip does not have shear strength and will peel from the rubber. Installed correctly this is not a problem. Make sure you degrease the bath edge properly before applying it as well. I used the provided alcohol swab which worked fine.

a must for shower trays
perfect to add a tile upstand to shower trays to give an extra water tight seal , make sure to clean surface with alcohol wipe that is provided and all will be good . not as good as they used to be with blue backing rubber as they don't stick as well to the new white seal , saying that these are my go to seal for fitting shower trays or baths to give a good water tight seal ,

An absolute must for DIYer shower installation
There are very polar views on this product. My experience was that this is a really good product. Easy to install on a shower tray and will go a long way to ensuring the key area around the tray stays water-tight. I’m sure professionals will scoff at the unnecessary expense (a tenner?) but if like me you’re installing yourself then you can’t take too many precautions against leaks.

Not good, doesn't bond to shower tray properly.
This is not a good product. With better quality shower strips, the rubber strip itself is adhesive, giving a good seal and bond to the shower tray. This product is just a strip of rubber with low quality double sided foam tape stuck to it. The foam sticks amazingly to the shower tray, but not at all well to the rubber. Therefore the rubber strip just falls away from the foam with any pressure applied. Even if you manage to install the tray without knocking the strip off, the level of sealing provided is not reliable. You are then left with the annoying and time consuming task of picking off all of the little sticky bits of foam tape left welded to the shower tray, to make way for a decent replacement strip. Not good, complete waste of time and money👎👎👎

Poo adhesion
Easy to install but poor adhesion from tape when rolled out. the foam tape as ripples on the rubber band when I towed and couldn’t be fixed. This is the second one I have ordered and this one was poor. Bathroom installer

Seal used on shower tray being fitted with wallboards
I recently bought this seal for use on a shower tray being installed with MDF wallboards.First thing to note is that it was a cream colour not blue. The adhesive bit can't successfully be repositioned once it's been put on so take care to get it in the right spot the first time. I used a wallpaper seam roller to press it around the tray. Because the sides of my tray taper inwards, once it was bedded onto mortar, I put some mortar down between the wall and the tray/seal, level to the top of the tray, just to support the seal around the edge as once the boards were fitted, I knew there would be pressure on the adhesive joint as the rubbery bit is pulled backwards to the wall. The instructions tell you to make sure silicone sealant doesn't come into contact with the white adhesive seal bit. This is easy if using tiles as the tile adhesive isn't a problem, however, with wallboards that I was using, sealant is necessary. I was tempted to put sellotape over the adhesive just to form a barrier between the two but the installer wasn't having any of it :-( The silicone was about a cm from the adhesive strip and may or may not have been pressed onto it. Hopefully it's ok though. The two installers working on this thought I was mad and the strip is a waste of money but having previously had a leaking shower, I wanted to try everything possible to avoid future leaks.

Great product. Easy to apply
Great product. Easy to apply and gives waterproof seal that I am confident will last. Just follow the instructions for good results, then tile over the top, down to within a few milimetres from the shower tray and finish with silicone sealer to look great.
