A really well designed and manufactured heavy duty cable jointint kit. I will definitely buy again.

I managed to use this, but worked out a lot of details in the process. I have an idea I made some mistakes, but I think it will do the job. - The instructions refer to self-amalgamating tape and to PVC tape. Only one roll of tape is supplied. - 1.4 refers to "dimension A" which is never defined. The diagram suggests that all cores are different lengths, but the two plastic pieces supplied which slot together (which are not mentioned in the instructions) suggest that the cores are two short and two long. - 1.7 refers to "overwrap the connector with 4 half-lapped layers of self-amalgamating tape" but it is NOT clear whether that is for EACH core pair, which would be difficult once they are screwed into the connectors, or for all together. The polyester filling is brilliant, easy to install, I did not need the gloves. Some did leak out of the casing at the cable entries. I will wrap those securely with tape tomorrow before I backfill.

This works well - they don't really make it clear that you will need choc box connectors (electrical connectors with plastic covering and little screws) and the connectors they give you were not really ideal for what I was doing. But the kit works fine and will allow you to put two ends of outdoor cable together safely and effectively. When you are cutting the individual cables to go inside the kit remember not to have them all joining up in the middle or it makes it harder to fit everything in. Think about staggering them through the space at intervals of an inch or so.

Worked well but the instructions are really not good. If you have a decent DIY aptitude, a hacksaw and connector blocks you will figure it out but the novice should avoid. It's basically a plastic submarine shape, you make all the connections inside, click together the two halves, seal up with tape and pour in the resin. Wear gloves as the resin is black and will stain your fingers for a week. Leave to set over night and good to go. Worked really well and set like concrete, I'm confident that it will last for decades underground.

Great bit of kit ,used this to joint cable to new pump for water feature in garden , no problems easy instructions to follow

Although fiddly to install it does an excellent job and definitely worth the money
