Excellent Book
I received this book a week ago and it more than lived up to expectations. Clear and concise explanations . The author does an excellent job of reducing the amount you need to learn to master the case. The summary tables are incredible and I have no idea why no other book has come up with such clear explanations. Also, the author gives links to songs that really cement the case in your mind. That really helped. I will definitely be buying the rest of her books.

Start here for the Russian Case System!
The first book in this (currently) 4 book series is the genitive case book.If you are starting to learn the case system - start with the genitive case book as it’s the thinnest one.Other case system books are nearly 2-3 times as long; so the author has done the wise thing and began the foundations of the series here with the genetive case.So - a SERIOUS amount of effort has went into:- Writing the text; and- Producing clear easy to follow tables: and- Creating the QR codes; plus- All the associated downloadable material; and- The author’s numerous audio and visual exercisesThe downloadable videos for this book (and the whole series) show Russian music videos, cartoons and film scenes with both Russian AND English subtitles. The benefit of the dual Russian and English subtitle material cannot be understated - if you know some Russian vocabulary already - these exercises will help you to get used to learning definitions by context rather than reaching for the dictionary. There are only 3 downsides to this book series is:1)The simplified rule table on page 4 doesn’t missed an important rule from example sentence table on page 3 for masculine singular words ending in consonants А or я - you need to read the table on page 3 then write the rule on the other simple table on page 4.So the rule is definitely in this book on page 3! But the quic table on page 4 just needs you to write your own note (an easy fix - not a problem at all).2)Many of the QR links in the later books (and one in this genetive case book) no longer work because the YouTube videos they link to have been made private - but you could just find another Spotify or YouTube audio link for the same song. A small hassle - but not a deal breaker by any means.3)If you do not have a smart phone then all the downloadable audio and visual material is unavailable to you (or for the friend or family member that you’re buying this book for).So if you don’t have a smartphone, then so long as you know someone who does have one; then they can find all the material somehow and there will be a way to convert it into an analogue format or simply download to a basic mp3 player.Or even try to email the author Mila? Mila seems like she would be happy to email you a work around if you could show her your receipt to verify you’ve bought the book and aren’t stealing from her.Well done Mila! And good luck to everyone who’s starting their Russian learning journey! DEFINITELY BUY THIS BOOK!

Fácil de leer, ameno, didáctico.
Es un librito a la vez breve y conciso. Lo que menos me gusta es que los audios hay que descargarlos desde internet, prefiero que vengan con un CD. Tener que descargarlo desde internet me parece encriptar y ocultar aún más el contenido del libro.

A useful book for Russian learners
A useful book for beginner and intermediate Russian learners. Well structured, with lots of illustrations and examples and clear explanations of how and when the genitive case is used in Russian. Gives a nice perspective on an aspect of the Russian language that can be difficult for foreign-language learners of Russian to understand and master.
