DermOpt® Optima Coat Care Spray and Skin Conditioner for Dogs Soothes Itching (250ml)

My dog has a skin condition which results in dry flaky skin and often with hair loss. I have been trying different items to help clear it up. I have started to use this spray and wild dog skin relief balm - alongside a shampoo for allergies. The skin balm seems to be improving his coat and skin - not sure if it is this or the shampoo - but there are signs of new hair growth. I have also ordered the DermOpt shampoo to see if the two together will give quicker results.I spray the lotion onto the underside (chest and stomach area). I spray the lotion onto a cotton wool pad and wipe it across his head, nose and ears. I use the Wild Dog Skin Relief Balm on his elbows and tips of his ears.It does seem to be working - albeit slowly.

I have used Dermopt for my Scottie's itchy skin for a couple of years now, on and off. I have to say that every time he has a fungal infection or other skin issues like excessive licking or crewing himself Raw in places, this is the only product that truly helps.That makes it sound as if I'm really neglectful lol,he is just terribly sensitive, especially in summer! And they now do the spray in larger bottles hurray!I am more than happy with this.

Bought this for my young girl, a Staffordshire bull Terrier as she's got dermodex and is on advocate every two weeks for a couple of months.I had to spray it in my hand and rub it in her skin as she hates sprays and immediately relieved the itching. She's asleep next to me. Bath time tomorrow with the DermOpt shampoo and advocate tuesday. Highly recommend. Its easily applied in hand or if your dogs not fussy, sprayed on diect. Will always keep a 250ml bottle in.Smells not too bad.**Update**I used this last night before she went to sleep and it seems to last longer than other cheaper sprays. (Touch wood.) I just don't understand why this itchy skin has started. Theb. piriton help a little but she scratches after about an hour or so. Just ordered my 2nd bottle while its in stock at this price. I did buy the dermopt shampoo too but she won't even stand in a dry bath. So I use this twice a day. Highly recommend. Don't use cheaper sprays. The duration of the itch scratch cycle only lasts a couple of hours!

I have been using this for years now and I think it's high time I explained why. Initially, I bought it as advertised as a coat conditioner for my two German Shepherds until I realised how effective it is for cuts and external infections. This spray is wonderful, it's antibacterial and anti fungal which although these are listed on the product it isn't advertised as its key features. I have it as a must have in my dog 1st aid box. E.g. sebaceous lumps which were squeezed and given antibiotics from the vets are now - squeezed and then sprayed on a regular basis with DermOpt until the lump is gone. (The antibiotics would get rid of lumps but then could easily get reinfected when left open and the cycle of antibiotics would happen - something I was not happy with.)

My Labrador has had 6 years to and from vets with itchy and sensitive skin. Apparently allergic to almost everything. This product I used every day with a good brush to remove his old fur and and touch wood this is the first year he hasn't had to visit the vets. He still scratches slightly as he still has his allergies but we can see such an improvement in how he his I would highly recommend this to anyone who suffers similar problems with their pets. I would add though you need to keep applying this as I missed a few days whilst on holiday and I could see he had got worse again.

I have bought this twice now. My cat is an avid mouse hunter and unfortunately picks up flees, lice and mites! This stuff is the only thing that gets rid of anything he picks up, I just spray his coat anytime he brings me a present as a precaution and he stays free of any parasites, and I check him regularly. It also has no smell so my cat doesn't mind it, and makes it easy to apply.

My RR has skin allergies and this within two days has reduced scratching. Would like to know what's in it though. Overall has improved coat and have recommended it to others who have purchased and had good results as well.
