Cool artwork book
Book arrived in mint condition; sleeve intact and pages not buckled. This book is very beautiful, so beautiful that I haven't ruined it yet with my scratchy artwork. Book runs through a series of themes, and details what the user may need in the way of art equipment for each section; high end and economy stationery. You are then all set to draw, sketch or paint ideas in pages left blank by the author. Cool idea and can't wait to get started.

Without going on too much.....
I like this. Without delving into my heartbreak to deep, my mum passed away very suddenly & while busy planning, spending all my waking moments in my parents house, with a bereft dad & siblings who i normally see when needed who feel the need to ask if anyone wants a cup of tea every 5 mins when only wine would be helpful. Auto piloting everyday & ‘ taking one day at a time ‘ & answering how my dad is when you visit the shop only to see folk who couldn’t hide out of your way quick enough & blurt our the usual ‘times a good healer’ . When you get home & shut the door, the moments where you sit down & stop for a minute can be hefty on the mind & made me feel like I was aching. I like drawing, I’m a doodler & I like to try drawing things like streets & houses, I’m not much good but that’s fine. I decided that when I wasn’t busy I’d sit & draw to focus my mind on something rather than the stressful mess that was going on up there. Sitting down with a new sketch book & some new pencils, my mind was as blank as the page. I found this by chance as I’d never seen anything like this before & though people are a bit snotty about buying a book with blank pages for you to fill in, I found the prompts & hints very helpful. I also found the layout & colours etc nice to draw on & was calming rather than bright white empty pages. I didn’t stick to the suggested media in each section, i didn’t go mad & buy all the different kinds of pens, pencils, inks etc, I bought a very fine uni pigment ink pen (excellent, much better than the micron ones), a very fine mechanical pencil & a decent rubber. I used my sons crayola markers & twistables & after proving that I’d stick to it my husband kindly dug out some old sketching pencils & things I’d never use so I used what I felt like using at the time. I have no interest in paints & wouldn’t want to mess pages up using them but I found I liked pencil & very fine black liners. It’s quite amusing when you have a look through your work & see how you interpret the prompts. My mermaid with amazing hair was more like a walrus & some of my scribbles were probably more reflective of my mindset but Overall, I thought it was worth the money, I spent much needed quiet time at the end of each day when I put my little boy to bed, doing a few pages & it helped me to be quiet & actually sit still, probably relax a bit despite all the squiggly, unsettled noise & feelings that where flying around in my head & chest. I’d recommend it to anyone who is going through similar or has problems with anxiety etc simply because it busys your hands & therefore your concentration before you know it, your mind is quiet & you’re drawing masterpieces of animals in human clothes & mushrooms chatting whilst out walking their dogs. So, without delving into my bereavement & heartbreak...*cough....it’s not just a book with empty pages for you to fill in, which realistically it has to be because you’d have no space to draw if it wasn’t, it’s a book, with lots of pages in, some are blank, some are sectioned into smaller spaces with more prompts, some are coloured, some are squared (I love square paper), there are various sections with the suggestions of what pens, pencils ‘media’ to try & each has a ‘theme’ for you for you to try drawing. For the money, it’s great, good quality paper, the author is nice, she is happy for you to do as you like & if you don’t want to take on board her suggestions or be inspired by what she says then that’s fine. An a4 sketch book sets you back nearly a tenner & doesn’t always inspire one to do anything productive. I have wasted about a million of them drawing nothing but lines doing it wrong & turning the page , then using it to write reminders to buy milk & ‘ring dad 7pm(make sure he’s not walked into sea)’ it’s been a space for gathering myself back up & resting before having to do it all again the next day. Thank you. Sorry for the lengthy insight into my grief.

Highly recommended
Really simple easy to use with a selection of easy and more thoughtful subjects - a tall redwood to an aerial view of a French garden. The how to guides are easy to follow and there is a helpful recommendations for art supplies. It makes it a fun and manageable pass time.

Very clear images, printed well on each page.
This is a manageably sized book for sitting relaxing with in the armchair on cold winter evenings. There are so many different images to chose from to suit the mood of the reader. I am looking forward to completing many of the images soon. I have made a start and am really pleased with the overall effect. I may even frame one of my attempts. Good quality and the paper is thick too.

Brilliant and inspiring
I’m a creative soul but haven’t done anything for years, despite working full time from home during lockdown I have made myself draw every day and I’ve loved it!! Thank you so much for a fab book!

Love the idea
Love the idea, but the paper is not of good quality and whatever material I used (markers or watercolours) they bled through the page, making it impossible to draw on the other side. Really a shame.

Great
Really love this. Bought a cheaper alternative which was not nearly as easy or fun to use.
