is it ok for home made toothpaste? (I have a small child who would use it too)

Hi there. I have never made toothpaste so i'm afraid I wouldn't know. A quick google search seems to show that baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) is a favourite ingredient. I'm not sure about Calcium Carbonate. It's ground to a fine powder so you may use it as a bulking agent or a carrier for the other ingredients but it doesn't bind when mixed with water. It precipitates fairly quickly so you would need to use something like glycerine perhaps?

do you need this as well as a vitamin mineral powder?

What's this sourced from please, animal or plant matter?

It’s neither being a chemical compound mineral derived from rocks etc ie marble

Is this okay to be used in cosmetics?

I think it would be ok as it’s just powdered chalk
