G.I. Joe: Resolute
T**M
G.I Joe has never had to be so resolute!
G.I Joe: Resolute is an animated movie providing a more modern and mature take on the G.I Joe franchise that runs for approximately one hour, is region 1 only, and was written by popular comic-book scribe Warren Ellis.A member of the Joe team is murdered, and the Joe's headquarters the USS Flagg almost destroyed in a terrorist attack. When this is followed by the world losing all of its satellite capabilities without explanation, and the obliteration of Moscow - along almost all of its ten million citizens - by a powerful and new super weapon that carries all of the hallmarks of Cobra, the Joe team must reassemble to stop the threat, but this time without most of its equipment and support. Never before has G.I Joe had to be so resolute...When the autopsy of the dead Joe reveals a note exposing the involvement of the ninja assassin Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes departs in order to confront his former friend and settle their rivalry once and for all. Meanwhile several other Joe teams are dispatched; one to stop the source of Cobras powerful new super weapon, another to rescue important hostages taken by Cobra operatives, and the final team to knock out an array of Cobra satellites blocking world wide satellite communication.Whilst the story primarily focus on the actions of Snake Eyes, Duke and Scarlett (and the love triangle that seems to have developed between them), many of your favourite Joes are here, including Road Block, Gung Ho, Flint, Tunnel Rat, Stalker and Beach Head, as well as most of the prominant Cobra members such as Cobra Commander, Firefly, Storm Shadow, Destro, Baroness, Zartan, plus hordes of Vipers, and the battle takes the action fromthe Pacific ocean, to Manhattan, to Siberia, low orbit, the site of the secret Arashikage ninja clan, and finally to the small town of Spingfield. The action is brilliant and very adult, and the quality of animation and voice talent excellent. The fight scene between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow is especially impressive, and there isnt really an area where I could fault the DVD at all, and whilst it is relatively short at around about an hour in length, you cant complain at the value for money with a cost of just over £5.It comes very highly recommended from this massive G.I Joe fan, thats for sure!

No Joe Fan Should Be Without This!
I can remember first watching GI Joe Resolute in the original format of short online episodes, and being blown away. It's even better when you can watch them all in one go as a single feature. All the classic characters are there, and the action is non-stop!This is a great up to date version of characters we know and love. If you're a GI Joe fan, you won't be disappointed. And watch it right until the end of the titles... trust me!
