GKI/Bethlehem Lighting Luminara Candle Light Set, 5-Inch, Bronze by Luminara Worldwide

Realistic - has a flat plastic (flame) on a thin wire with LED warm white light shining up from a recessed area in the candle. There is a metal counterweight that hangs from the candleholder base so you need to hang on a pretty firm branch. The lighting effect is just like a glowing, dancing flame. You won't be disappointed because this is as close to a real flame look as I've been able to find in an artificial lighting product. Now and then a candle will go dark when my cat gets in the tree - I find that turning the set off and back on again "resets" the candles and they all come on again. Also, the candles need to be balanced on the branches to move. Hardly a problem ever. Everyone who saw them on our tree has thought they were real until super close inspection!

I had seen these before when we visited a Christmas store on vacation. They were double what I paid here so I was happy to Find Them cheaper. I bought 2 sets which allowed me to spread them over my tree. They are super cute with the flickering flame. They seem heavy duty enough that they should last a long time if taken care of. The wire in between candles is plenty long to spread them out. The balance allows them to sit nicely on the branch but I still wrapped the branch around it to support it better. I gave them a 4 only because I think the price is still high for a 5 light set.

These looked awful on the tree you could hardly see them unless you were up close and they have to be perfectly balanced or they will not work. Returned them.

I don't know what I was thinking. I got these on sale for $50 and they still aren't worth it. Only 5 come on a string (as it says) so you have to buy several strings for it to look at all like the photo on the box. I bought 2 and it's still slightly pathetic, but I'll make it work by using lots of regular twinkle lights. They feel well made and are properly balanced. I feel like they should have clips to secure them in place, and I'm annoyed that they don't have a regular plug to chain together with other lights - they only hook to themselves. When you consider how much a single luminara candle costs, I guess the high price makes sense, and it is nice to have a realistic candle effect without worrying about burning your whole house down, but yipes! My steampunk tree in the library will be worth more than the gifts under it!

These are excellent and we're very well priced when we bought them. We bought a few strings knowing we would want more if they were nice but we're very hesitant about them. When we received them and plugged them in we ordered the rest we needed immediately. We actually bought a new unlit tree to put these on this coming Christmas as they look so much better than string lights. Really makes for a great Christmas atmosphere.
