Does the job and more stable than my old one.
Having been playing trumpet for over 30 years, it didn't take long for me (a couple of years from starting) to getting to using a K&M three footed stand. It's been my trusty trumpet holder when on stage or practising. It finally broke, a plastic part came loose and a leg fell off at the end of a rehearsal as I was packing up. That was the old stand. I decided to get this one to replace the old stand as my day to day workhorse. My immediate impressions are firstly the build quality is as good as the old stand - if not better. I'm expecting this to last me the rest of my life! (or at least another 40 years) Based on my old one and the way that I'd handled it, I have no reason to think that it's going to last longer. There's a few differences from my old three legged stand. Firstly, 5 legs. This makes the stand much much more stable. It was possible before to knock the trumpet and have it tip over, which depending on the impact surface could cause damage. It never happened to me, but it came close a few times. Secondly, At the top of the stem, there is now a piece of rubberised material. This is a small change, but a great addition as it means that there's much less chance of the inside of the bell getting scratched when putting the trumpet on the stand. The chance was low before, and frankly, I never noticed it happen. But now, well it feels like there's no change at all. Lastly, The way that the legs are held into the middle hub. This looks like it's been completely redesigned, there is now a screw involved, which I assume locks all the plastic parts together (I have no intention of dismantling it to find out) This looks like it's had a huge redesign over my old 3 legged stand, and whilst it still has all the convenience of the old stand, it feels even more solid than before. All in all. This stand is a nice upgrade from my 30 year old 3 legged version. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone that plays a trumpet or cornet.

Solid build and clever design.
Solid build and clever design. Packs away completely in the bell without protruding at all so will fit in any case. Very stable with a wide spread on the five feet and a low centre of gravity. Protrudes quite far into the bell when holding the trumpet making it even more stable. Very good quality product.

Trumpet Stand
Well made trumpet stand, has metal legs which store inside it. Holds my trumpet securely during gigs and rehearsals. Well worth paying a little bit more than you would for a cheaper plastic version, I’m very satisfied with my purchase

Recommended for trumpet/cornet players
Small, compact, well made. Essential for trumpet/cornet players. Better than leaving your expensive instrument on a chair or the floor. Recommended!

a suitable stand for those long pauses between tunes at a concert or practice
This is so easy and quick to set up, I've seen a couple of other people using stands like this so I bought one of these. I like the fact that there are more than 3 stabilising legs on this stand, it gives me more confidence that my Cornet isn't about to go bouncing around on the stage. It's easy to carry inside the bell of the instrument in my gig bag and feels solid enough. The felt padding helps protect the instrument. It's well shaped too so you won't have problems lifting and placing your cornet/trumpet. I've used this at practice and concerts. Practice because sometimes there will be times when other sections of the band are receiving focus and at concerts because inevitably there are long pauses where other performances are taking place and it removes the temptation to fidget with the valves & slides or sit there blowing air down it. If you're going to leave it in the bell of the instrument my suggestion is to get a gig bag like mine where it stands upright to prevent any weight resting on the bell, I don't imagine it'd cause any distortion over time but it's designed for the cornet to sit over it so that's how I use it.

Top quality, well made trumpet stand
A good quality, sturdy trumpet stand. Slightly heavier than the 3 footed K&M folding trumpet stand we already have (which has lasted for many years and we have only bought another for the new trumpet player in the house!). If you are concerned about carrying it around to gigs maybe choose a smaller one but would recommend K&M as the maker. Appeared to have been sent from Germany but came very promptly.

Invaluable accessory for your trumpet.
This is a very useful accessory that helps you keep your trumpet safe, whenever you need to put it to the side for a rest during practice, a break during a performance even as a permanent placing when you are not playing (although I would prefer puting my trumpet in its protective case when not in use). Excellent build qulity, sturdy and easy to transport inside the bell of the trumpet. Highly recommended, especially the 5-leg version which I have. Just mke sure you receive the correct item and than all components are there and nothing is missing.

I ordered 2 different Trumpet stands and kept this one because it felt more sturdy, compact, and the quality didn't feel cheap. It's mostly metal and is very compact. As advertised, it fits nicely in the bell of the trumpet for easy storage and travel-ability. The other one I got didn't fit into the trumpet case at all. My 8 yr old son finds it easy to set up. Really am satisfied with this. Highly recommend!
