Suction Mount for DrivePro-TS-DPM1

I bought this for my Drive Pro 220 as I didn't want a permanent mount sticking to my windscreen and it allows me to move the camera between cars if needed (for example if I borrow my wife's car or hire a van). It's pretty small and lets you swivel the camera into just about any position you can think of and then can be locked into position. It's much more useful than the camera supplied mount and lets you get the camera into just the right position. It attaches to the window really well and the lever lets you really lock the suction cup down. I've not had any issues with it coming off the windscreen. If you need to move it or remove you can easily lift the lever and pull it off the window. You can easily attach the camera to the mount. And more importantly, if you want to remove the camera (if you are parking somewhere dodgy) you simply pull the little lever and slide the camera off. They should really include this in the dashcam box as standard as it is a fantastic little mount. It is very well priced (other manufacturers would be charging three times the price) and I would definitely recommend it.

After getting this a few months back, I can finally say that I've been absolutely delighted with the product. The design is quite small and compact but the suction is very powerful and very stable when mounted! In addition to this, there will be sufficient adjustment in every direction so you won't experience any issues with rotating this. When in use, you can easily attach/remove the camera from the mount and I had absolutely no issues here either! I usually look for quality when I buy these type of products but for such a cheap mount, I was really impressed. In terms of the build quality, it does feel a bit fragile but surprisingly is very sturdy and well-made. After using it for a few months, it still hasn't come off yet! Terrific quality and terrific price!

Considerably better than the fixed mount. If windscreen in cleaned properly prior to fitting then a strong bond is formed and it is also easy to remove. The only thing that is a limitation is that I still can't get the DP200 close enough to the windscreen (fitted to BMW 330), this then puts the rear view mirror mounting assembly in to view due to the excessive 160 degree field of view of the Dashcam. This will probably be ok for the DP220 which has sensibly got a reduced field of view at 130 degrees. For anybody who wishes to swap the unit between cars, this is a must and it works well.

I required this so that I could use my Transcend DrivePro recorder in hire cars, where the supplied permanent fixing would be impractical. It served its purpose so well I bought another one for the partners car which is left in all the time, we just swap the camera in and out as required. The fixing is secure and due to its small size it is unobtrusive and hidden behind my rear view mirror. Once fixed and the vacuum created by using the inconspicuous lever then it won't be going anywhere. If you don't use the lever, which is a feature on all windscreen mounts using suction fix, then expect it to move about. This suits the DrivePro recorder well, and unlike all the other third party ones available which are essentially modified Sat Nav holders it does not take up half the windscreen and complements the small size of the recorder. Well done Transcend in creating a purpose built suction mount for your device at a very reasonable cost.

I found this worked really well but unfortunately has a construction flaw in the fact that the peg holding the suction cup and spring to the body of the cup is made of plastic rather than metal. So within 6 months of very light and careful use this peg has already snapped through, turning the mount into landfill fodder. If you like to keep the camera in the same place, I would suggest instead of using the lever to attach/unattach the suction cup part, to unscrew the large screw at the hinge joint. This should enable you to remove the camera from view for safety while leaving the suction cup part in place on the window, preventing the plastic peg from getting as stressed.

I'm glad I bought this to go with my Transcend Dashcam. the cam itself comes with a sticky pad holder, but you initially have to move it around to get the best picture and angle and you would find it hard to move it using just the sticky pads and getting them off the windscreen is messy. It should come with the dashcam, but anyway. well worth it. It's not a very big mount, so takes up very little room, it works perfect and has not come off from the windscreen yet.

the camera is super. It was a gift for my daughter after she had been hit by another driver and we had a nightmare trying to get hold of the CCTV which proved it was the other drivers fault. She uses this every time she goes out and feels confident it would be excellent for proving what had happened in any future incident. Very clear picture both day and night, easy to use. Only thing which we have found to be a problem is the mount supplied with it which is firmly stuck to my windscreen after we swapped it to do a long journey and cannot be removed. Fortunately we bought her the suction fixing as well which is in her car and is much better altogether. Would definitely recommend this camera.

Meine Erfahrung ist, dass Saugnapfhalterungen immer wieder von der Scheibe abfallen. Die Klebung ist nach Jahren noch perfekt aber auch etwa im Fall des Frontscheiben- oder PkW Wechsels mit einem Glasschaben wieder ohne Schaden am Halter oder der Scheibe ablösbar - Fingerspitzengefühl und Geschick vorausgesetzt. Ein Zweites Klebepad ist im Lieferumfang enthalten. Damit es nicht schief angeklebt wird hat es sich für mich bewährt eine Linie parallel zur Schreibenkante außen mit Folienstift anzuzeichnen und auch die seitliche Positionierung von außen auszumessen und anzuzeichnen um dann von Innen den Sockel korrekt an diesen Markierungen orientiert ansetzen zu können. Der Folienstift lässt sich üblicherweise mit Alkohol spurenfrei abwischen. - So habe ich bei der Erstmontage noch kein zweites Klebepad benötigt.

I bought this for the Yi Dash Cam ... to replace the stock mounted with does not have a suction cup (sticker only). This worked great, you do need to clean the glass well before attaching it ... but I've only had it fall off once ... and since cleaning it first (as I should have) ... its been rock solid. I prefer this to the suction cup mount everyone normally gets for the Yi. This one is a little more sleek and the mechanism to latch closed the suction cup is nicer, and conforms the the circular shape better. Overall, this is a little smaller than the other, so worth the extra $2 that it costs.

Oltretutto viene fornito un adesivo in più sempre della 3m nel caso in cui dovrebbe servirvi
