Q: Looking for a tree swing for our (almost) two year old. Size wise, will this be on the small side?

I would always recommend using tree swing conversion ropes to attach any swing seat safely to a tree. They wrap around the branch, attach back onto themselves with galvanised steel 'oval-with-gate' connectors, then leave a Carabiner style clip hanging down which means you can clip on any swing seat or accessory - so when your little one has grown out of the baby swing you can easily replace for a different seat.Regards,the Play Experts @ Big Game Hunters

To put it in a doorway you would need 2 large swing hooks. Amazon sell them. They are large with a twisted end

Q: the dimensions: 7cm - is this the gap for the legs?

No, there is plenty of space for children's legs on the seat, as you can lift the bars to access the seat and lift children out after swinging. There are beads spacing the bars, some are quite large, perhaps these can be 7cms? The safety bars are easily lifted by adults when putting child on swing. There are also some loose beads above the safety cradle on the ropes that children can play with when sitting in the seat . Disagree on difficulty of getting bigger children into swing. Older ones can be lifted up to standing position on swing then lifted out of cradle - great swing still used by four year olds!

Sincere apologies for delay in responding. Yes the Cradle seat is exactly right for use on any firm swing frame structure. Just attach cradle to ropes provided for normal older children's seat. Remember to lift the spacer beads to widen the gap when putting a child into the cradle, and when lifting them out. Very sturdy and beads keep younger kiddies interested when on the swing!
