It all depends of the size of the child's arm as they will go smaller but how small to be effective not sure. There are children's elbow supports on Amazon too

You won't get the same kind of flexibility in your elbow as usual, so you will end up playing more a 'straight arm' game. The brace is very supportive, but naturally, a little bit restrictive in bending/stressing movement as that is what it has ultimately been designed for.
