This railing is robust and well constructed. The slight reservation is that the hand rail flexes slightly due to the joint in it. This is no real problem though.Referring to other reviews about the fixing bolts, I used the one supplied and they do give a firm base to the structure. Their rigidity will depend on the material that they are fixed in.

Sturdy and strong. My mum loves it

Initially, I was very pleased with this stainless steel rail. Looked great, very sturdy well packaged and relatively straight forward to fit. However, the first time it rained, the small horizontal rail showed signs of rust which is increasing every time it rains and now the sloping rail is showing rust. The supplier was not helpful at all, referring me back to Amazon.FOLLOW UP. The instructions for fitting the rail didn’t specify which size drill to use but someone in the reviews suggested a 9mm drill. I did this but the the rail was very wobbly and unsafe, so I asked the suppliers/manufacturer. They said to use a 10mm drill but this proved to be absolutely useless and I could pull the complete rail out of the ground. The expansion bolts were ruined but I found the exact ones on Amazon which said to use an 8mm drill. So after purchasing 3 concrete drills and a new set of bolts and filling the old holes in the patio stairs, the rail is now rock solid.

Good quality, sturdy handrail. Looks good too

Used inside my house as I have a split level lounge.Provides excellent service, needed after I broke my hip. Not too difficult for a handy person like me to install as I already have all the relevant tools. However the curved ends of the upper tube of this railing are not deburred and I scratched myself badly on one of the curved ends and it took ages to mend itself. So I have taped plastic caps (off deoderizer spray cans) onto the sharp ends.
