This is my second purchase of this clock from this supplier because the first one has been so valuable to my older child and my younger one wanted one too. I had a lot of requirements from a clock - silent mechanism (for the bedroom), bright colours but not making it hard to read, minute numbers and quarters marked on, this clock literally does it all. The clock by itself won't teach a child to tell the time, but it has supported me in explaining it all to my older child and she's about two years ahead of curriculun on this aspect, which is a really helpful skill to master early.

I don't write many reviews, but for this clock I'll make an exception.We've tried various teaching clocks and games, including from the big-name children's suppliers, but none of them really worked.Accepting of course that all children are different, we put this clock on our son's wall and within three weeks we've told him that he can now tell the time well enough to wear his watch in public!Everything about this clock is really clear; the only things he had to learn are that 1/2 = half and 1/4 = quarter.He is really proud of being able to tell us what time it is, and it's great to see him working it out on the other clocks around the house.This was money really well spent.

Love this clock! My son is 5 1/2 and has just started year 1, it took him less than 20 minutes to be able to tell the time using this. We did a quick explanation, a few examples and then he could do it on his own. Because he can read it means he can figure out the time using the outer circle words. It has just been a great learning tool and we have replaced our lounge clock with it while he is still gaining confidence. It is excellent quality and well worth the money. It really is silent and smooth and I highly recommend it.

I bought this clock for my son's bedroom. Love the look of it and it's quite easy for him to tell the time.The only down side is that it's meant to be a slient ticking clock but it isn't. You can hear the clock mechanism which is a disappointment and at first quite annoying. The whole point of me buying this clock was so that it didn't make any sounds. At first my son was struggling with the sound but now he's got use to it.

Third time around with teaching my children to tell the time and I’ve honestly turned into some parody of a comedian... no, ten-to is the same as 50 minutes... yes, quarter-past is the 3... aarrrggghhhhh!!!!Fortunately for me the designers of this clock have thought through all these weird quirks of time telling and clearly labelled everything with such sensible design that within seconds of receiving this clock (well maybe a couple of days) my 7 year old daughter is now proficient and able to tell me that no it isn’t bedtime yet for another 4 minutes!The individual elements of the clock are clearly labelled and colour coded and the quality is on a par with similar clocks I’ve bought before in this price bracket.

This clock did exactly what I wanted it to. It got my 9 year old interested in learning to tell the time. Its big and chunky, colourful and easy to read. He is now very confident in telling the time. The only negative is it ticks very loudly, I would struggle sleeping through it but it doesnt bother my son and its on the wall by his bed.

Ok firstly I should say that my 2yr old is 2 months away from being 3, that said he's picking it up very well and the extra descriptions round the clock are perfect to help him in reading the time. This is nearly SILENT with a continuous movement rather than a 'tic toc' noise, which I love about it.
