Well worth buying to show off all those hidden pictures on your computer!!!!
I take a lot of photos that just sit on my computer doing nothing; and whilst I already own a digital photo frame, the Nix appealed due to its on/off sensor (meaning I could just switch it on and leave it - unlike my older frame).Upon receipt I was surprised at how large the 8" screen looked - it was bigger than I was expecting and the quality of the image just blew my older frames screen out the water! The screen quality is (IMO) right up there with an iPad screen. Menu's are VERY clear and well presented, lots of options and a handy remote which worked really well. Dead simple to work ... its really been thought out well. The sensor worked brilliantly too and the quality of the frame itself, like the screen, was top notch! If you have a lot of photos like me, I don't think the money spent is wasted on something like this ... its great for bringing back memories!Ultimately I was so impressed that I also purchased the 10" widescreen version (on Amazon sale at only £79!). The size difference is noticeable and if you're not sure which to buy, money aside, I'd say go for the 10". That said, it is a lot more than the 8" model so value for money wise, the 8" wins by a mile. But if you can get the 10" for under £100 I'd go for that. At the end of the day though, you won't be disappointed with either ... and some may even prefer the smaller 8" model as it looks like a more regular photo frame size. The 15" was appealing at the sale price but I think once you get past 10", the frames start to look more like small (HIGH QUALITY) screens rather than photo frames. I can imagine the 15" would look massive on a small table, so here an 8" or 10" would be better. I guess it depends on how 'On View' you want your pictures to be.Finally, the frame also played movie clips shot by my smartphone and digital camera no problem (with or without sound - you can select) .... a great touch I thought!Hope my review helps ... if you're looking for a digital frame I'd skip the rest and just go for this! Note the attached pictures don't show how good the screen really is.

The only way to relive photo memories!!
After going on one of the best holidays with my partner this year (West Coast of America & Vegas!) I decided I needed a way to see all of the many pictures that we took on our travels without the cost of printing over 900 photos and then worrying about what to do with them!I soon started researching digital photo frames, remembering that I used to have one when they first came out years ago, albeit very bad quality compared to those today! My sister had a NIX Advance 12 inch photo frame so after seeing hers, I started researching the brand as I had not heard of it before. Hers looked the part and did exactly what I wanted it to do, USB/Memory card slot, motion sensor, remote while showing the pictures beautifully.Looking mainly on Amazon (for the reviews!) I found they did several sizes of this frame, and my eye was drawn to the 15 inch one (hence the review!). Ordered it for £149.99 on the free trial of Amazon Prime so it was delivered within the next two days, ideal to play with the new toy! At first I was not too sure on the size as I worried it was too big, the box was huge! I soon wondered if I should have gone for the smaller size. As I unpacked it, fitting snugly in its box in the packaging to protect it, I found the little remote and what looked strangely like a little stick, soon realised it was the nifty little stand!Easily working out where the stick when to prop it up, I soon had it resting on the surface looking like a mini TV!! Assembly was really simple as just screwing the stick in one corner was enough to make it sturdy and then plugging in the battery power was equally simple, no instructions needed! The length of the lead was perfect for a standard cabinet to our plug socket (ours is roughly hip height and I'm 5’10) so no issue there!Turning it on, I managed to easily slot in the memory card from the camera to test it and once I’d pressed play all, was definitely sure I’d made the right decision on the size. Not only were the pictures in the best condition, they were big enough to be able to see them perfectly from across the room without wondering what it was! Being able to quickly flick through them with the remote helps as well as being able to have them play in order on the memory card/USB, or shuffle. I always choose shuffle! You can adapt the length of time between photos and the transition type between each one (i.e. fade, slide, etc. Like Powerpoint!) Setting the change of the photos was really simple although having limited options for the times – 5 seconds was way too short, an minute too long! We settled on 30 seconds as gave a nice mix of being able to look at the pictures without them going too fast or slow. You can also delete photos using the remote which is handy! It automatically rotates pictures as well which is always handy. It does play videos as well, but I haven’t used that part yet as we mainly wanted it for photos.Setting the motion sensor was easy too, with a mix of timings in case you’re like me and forget to turn things off! 5 minutes is perfect, the screen turning off if there has been no movement nearby in that time.I'm so glad we decided to buy this as once I put all of our many holiday photos on the memory card, we now have a slideshow of every single picture taken while being away, letting us relive our memories once again. Depending on your USB/memory card, you can have thousands of photos in one place and if you need the USB/card, you simply pop it out and use it as normal! Definitely worth a buy!I haven’t tested a USB stick yet, so all my experience was with a memory card and it is flawless! Love it!

Nice device, great quality display
I bought the 8" display. It was very easy to set up, the display is good quality, good definition, and nice and bright. The whole device is quite light weight compared to the old one I had. The inclusion of a remote control is a nice touch. As for display options it ticks all the boxes for me, and gives you lots of flexibility in the setup. The only minor niggles I have are these; I have three folders on the SD card, but the frame plays all three when I want it to only play one of them. This might be my inexperience but I find it irritating as I wanted to play new images from a trip. I think I would have liked an on/off time (NIX know about this shortcoming) although to be fair the motion sensor works well so a timer might be a redundant feature. To sum up, nice product.
