Miracle cure for my dog with serious issues
My dog has been suffering with very bl00dy poop. We have spent over £1000 on tests and medications to solve it. Some of the medications caused adverse affects which stressed out our whole family. Yes we did eventually find a medication which "slightly" helped her but it was not possible to give to her long term due to the side effects, and it always came back. I tried a lot of online research and found this. Although sceptical, I thought it was worth a try.The package says we can give double the dose in certain circumstances, which is what we did. From the first day of trying this, she has had ZERO bl00d in her poop. Her stools are firmer and no longer loose. At first I just sprinkled the powder directly onto her food, which she did eat although I thought it was too dry for her so I mixed it with small amount of water and she has been eating it no problem since. There is a slight smell to it which other reviewers have mentioned but this hasn't been an issue for my dog or me.She has now been on it for 2 weeks and after the first week we reduced the dose to the normal amount and she has been fine. After exhausting all other tests and medications, I am so thankful I found this as it has been a miracle cure for our dog. We have also used this for our other dog who had loose bowl movements and it fixed her right up after a day.For serious symptoms make sure to get your dog checked out by a vet first, but when all hope seemed to be lost, we found this and it has helped her immensely.Compared to the cost of vet medication, this is so much cheaper and just as effective as some other medications. I will be recommending it to everyone

Smells horrible, dog put off straight away when mixed with food.
I have only given a preliminary middle score of 3 stars out of 5 - due to not having completed a full 'field test'I was recommended this product due to my dog having loose stools on a regular basis (Vet suggests colitis). I thought I would give it a try. 100g does not sound like a lot, considering that my dog weighs 50kg, and you give 1 teaspoon for every 10kg weight of the dog. So thats 5 teaspoons at a time. But, I just bought the smallest size available to give it a go.The tub measures just under 5 inches high and just under 4 inches wide (camera angle makes it look larger). The tub was a pain to open, and I had to get pliers to grip the plastic ring release seal, as I REALLY struggled pulling it open with just my hands. The smell of the powder once the lid was opened was awful, and my nose instantly picked up a 'cinnamon like smell', and also a 'black peppery smell'. There is also a 'strong hint of liquorice'. Which is strange, because the ingredients DO NOT contain any of these things.Looking in the tub, my first thoughts were: ''what a waste of an oversize tub'' as the contents only come up to the half way point. Yes, I understand that settlement occurs, and upon filling at the factory the levels would have been higher - (but it's a powder, so not that much higher up the tub). Over-all, the tub is too large and in my opinion, wasteful. The product itself? A VERY fine powder: breathe on it and it goes everywhere. Resembles ground pepper. The instructions (which I have shown both sides of the tub), say to give with feed, or liquid (one assumes the pets water dish).TEST 1: I used 1/2 a teaspoon to a small glass of water to first test the disolvability (is that even a word?). Had to give it a good stir, and let it sit for a minute. The smell is still there, and I didn't think if added to my dogs water dish, he'd go anywhere near it. I was right. He approached the water dish and snorted back after smelling it. So that was a no-go.TEST 2: I mixed in the required dose to his morning feed, threw in some fresh cooked chicken, and poured some heated chicken stock over the top. Another good mix of the food to blend the powder and set the dish down for him. He refused to go anywhere near it. This was not going to be as straightforward as I first thought. It might be less of a smell/horrible taste if I split the doseage into 2, giving 2.5 teaspoons at each meal instead of dumping all 5 into one meal. The instructions all suggest giving with natural yogurt, and even adding a spoon of honey to ''improve palatability'. Which is basically saying ''this stuff will taste like ****, and you may have to try adding stuff to get the animal to eat it''.All I can do is keep trying different ways to give him the Tree Bark Powder. The water dish method is not an option, and I doubt that any pet owner will have success administering it this way.I have rated the Dorwest Tree Barks Powder (out of 5 stars):1 star for flavour, as it must taste disgusting to the animal.1 star for scent, as it really is overpowering to 'my' nose, so imagine a dogs nose that is way more sensitive?5 stars (out of 5) for value for money - and that's for buying here on Amazon. You save a few quid compared to buying direct from Dorwest. PLUS the fact that it is in stock here, and both sizes out of stock on the actual Dorwest website. If this stuff works (once I figure out how to give it to him), then I will buy more, but, at the moment, I am glad I only bought the smallest tub. A larger tub, (and nearly 20 quid spent), could have been wasted.I hope you find the photos useful, showing the label info, powdered contents, and what it looks like disolved in water (should you wish to add it to their water dish).
