Maxxis Minion Dhfpl Folding Dual Compound Exo/tr Tyre
With winter coming and a wider rougher trail in mind over the winter months I decided to upgrade from my 21. Menzcal’s to the 2.8 Maxxis. First things first ensure you have a wide enough wheel to support them I’d recommend a 30+ inner rim for a squarer more planted wheel. Straight out of the box these tyres are much heavier, to be expected with all that extra rubber. The tyres themselves are well made, well finished, soft compound with a great tread pattern that can easily cut through mud and slush as well as allowing you both a smoother and more planet ride.

Tyre has deformed within a couple months. It’s wearing prematurely.
