My curtain pole doesn’t have a join but I bought this because since I painted the curtain pole to match my room, the curtain rings have kept getting stuck and it was really difficult to open and close the curtains. This tape really works. I can’t believe how smoothly my curtains glide now. I highly recommend this. Excellent value for money

Bought this thinking it was a gimmick. I have a metal telescopic curtain pole and the metal curtain rings get stuck over the join. It is really very annoying and I was about to buy a new curtain pole but my searches brought me to this product.I had to secure the pole so it no longer turned (as this product needs to be stuck to the top edge) by screwing in both ends to the holders and also glued the telescopic bit so it no longer moved in and out after making it the desired length. I removed the curtains but left the rings on the pole and stuck this tape on the top of the pole. And put it back up. Then put the curtains back up. It works. I still, out of habit, go to hank the curtains across and then get a surprise when they glide quietly!!Apart from securing the pole properly and gluing the telescopic bit, the whole job to stick on the tape only took a few minutes. I did ensure I had enough to go the full length.It is a simple idea but so effective. The plastic sticks when you remove the red film to the pole. It is flexible yet relatively thick plastic so the curtain rings glide along it. Brilliant.Also the product arrived faster than stated.

I was a but skeptical but I attached it to the curtain rail, from the start of the rail and careful to finish exactly where the join was. It works perfectly.Delighted

I honestly thought I was never going to be able to get my curtains to work properly. I used to use a walking stick to try and help slide them across and lift each hook over the join from the extendable pole. I was constantly accidentally pulling hooks out and it got to the stage I just slept with the curtains open and it was too hard to use them. I have heavy, very long curtains over a patio style door in the bedroom. I fitted the tape today without too much hassle or fuss. It was a little bit fiddly doing it without taking the pole off the wall but definitely do-able. And the result is fantastic!!!!!! I'm over the moon and looking forward to swishing my curtains shut tonight! Lol.

This was easy enough to apply but In reality you need to remove the curtains - mark the top edge of the pile first so you know where it needs to go.Yes it helps with the sliding and metal on metal but our rings catch side to side when pulling them closed as the rings twist and it does not help with this much.
