Good quality product
I don't always write reviews but I felt this product deserved it. I normally use the cheaper grey coloured IP rated junction boxes but was looking for something black to match my gates fittings and there is not a great deal of options within a reasonable range. The bottom line I was impressed, easy to remove cover (simple locking screws) rather than the fiddly lever it off type, robust, comes with terminal block that sits nicely in the box and also a fixing bracket for easy fitting / removal though can still use the traditional fixing method - screws in each corner. Cant really fault it and and for a good price as well.

Waterproof, easy install boxes
Bought these for a CCTV project I did. Cameras were easily mounted onto the box as well as the boxes themselves to a hard exterior wall. Even with the heavy rain we we've experienced recently these boxes seem to be holding up really well! If you're really concerned about water tightness then you could always add a dab of silicone, but in my opinion and experience this isn't needed. Great value for money and half the price of others for what seems to be great quality. All round happy!

Good value
Pros: Holes have been filled with separately injected rubber compound, so seals well. Box is supplied with a 5 way terminal block and a rear clip for mounting - this can be screwed down first then the box is clipped to it. Design is quite chunky and tough. Cons Once a rubber plug has been removed it's hard to then clear the plastic from around the thread to allow the cable gland to be screwed in fully, and there's not much depth of thread. Once the gland is screwed on it seems easy to damage the thread. Having stripped a thread I ended up using PTFE tape to pack it out to stop the gland rotating freely. It's a little difficult to secure the lid with the rotating catches. There wasn't enough room to get the back nut on the gland inside the box. Overall I though it was good value for money and, with the PTFE bodge, worked for my project

Just made a little too cheaply
These junction boxes are okay for me as I am using them inside a dry shed that may just have some condensation every now and again, but I wouldn't want to fully test the IP rating on these. The main problem with them is that the lids fit quite poorly. The corner screws don't really hold the lid on tight enough for my liking. A secondary concern is using the rubber push through access holes at the sides. To keep the IP rating on these I think you would need to use glands which in my mind means that the unit itself shouldn't be claiming the ip rating. All that said, they are perfect for my needs and cheap. I will just make sure they stay dry.

Cheap but does the job if not totally exposed to water.
Very cheap and cheerful, I would definitely say it was NOT waterproof if directly soaked or submerged but for mounting under waves/soffits it’s perfect. Cheap enough that I didn’t mind hacksawing through to the gland as an RJ45 plug didn’t fit through. Punched holes through it to screw it up and very pleased with it.

Plenty of Space
I bought these to add to my CCTV setup and house the camera side connections. I bought 4 and they work really well, a nice firm seal around the lid, my only complaint is the lack of exterior mounting options, I ended up drilling through the base and screwing to the wall before filling the hole with silicone and adding a bead around the edge where it meets the wall. All in 3 months down the line and the insides are all dry, no cameras have failed so I'd say a success and definitely worth the money.

Should be good
It does what it says it does.... Cable glands screw into it (although it can sometimes be hard to remove the rubber seals as it is awkward to remove with a stanley knife). Its easy to work with and flexible in terms of the possible junctions but two slight negatives for subtracting a star: 1) The rear connection mount is difficult to work with. Its sometimes hard to get it mounted, and once mounted it can be really difficult to remove, hence it is more permanent than it should be due to how difficult it is to access the rear of the box. 2) The box says IP66, and I cant argue against that with facts, but after screwing shut the box on all four corners, I still dont feel it is IP66 standard. I would have said it is definitely IP64 (splashproof) and probably IP65 (water jet/hose proof) but not IP66 (strong water jet). Like I said this is my opinion, but probably worth bearing in mind so you dont install it somewhere where it will get lots of water sprayed on it regularly.

alles ok

Matige kwaliteit.
