best scapel blade on the market
swan morton the best craft blade on the marked, ive tied others but kept going back to these , as an avid crafter i use a lot of these , was a nightmare to order though i get it with age restrictions and that but as a main card holder with amazon i thought that would have helped identify my age but no, i couldnt order them but my son who is the second card holder could order them fine for me on his card but we got there in the end

Great blades
As a long time model kit maker I swear buy using Swann Morton blades as they are incredibly sharp and easily cut plastics and resin of varying thickness. I really appreciate being able to get 100 at a time as this should save a bit of cash. The No11 blade is great for the fine detail cleaning and carving of kits and they are constantly in use. Highly recommended

Good replacement blades
Edit after 2 years of use: These have a propensity to snap with any sideways force. They are still fine if cutting straight down (and they're probably designed for this) but if you angle them slightly please beware to use eye protection as they can snap and ping off with alarming regularity and I was only cutting soft wax! Minus a star. I use these blades to shape ceramic repairs once dry but they have so many other uses. They are non-sterile but unless this is important to you they represent fair value at £13 per 100 (I only wanted 10 but that was almost as expensive and these will keep me going for many years). They seem really sturdy and fit my No. 11 handle well. There were a couple of reviews suggesting these were fake but they came in a retail box and wrapped in heat-sealed foil in groups of 5 so as far as I can tell they are genuine. Importantly, they are sharp!

Sharpness
As a model maker I use loads of blades. Adult use only as very sharp. So please keep them out the way of kids .

Great Value
This box of surgical blades certainly was good value for money. For the price they're set at for 100, you really can't go wrong. I use them on my Exacto handle. Absolutely spot on for light card/paper work and crafting balsa wood. I do a lot of card cutting and go through several blades an evening. I have tried more expensive blades, and although they last a bit longer (around 30%) they cost 10x as much. So, for the sake of replacing the blade more often, there really isn't any comparison. Definitely the way to go. They're sturdy and extremely sharp. According to the description, they're made from carbon steel. They come packaged in a nice box and wrapped in groups of 5 or so. Really can't complain and glad I found them - Have saved myself a fortune.
