This is a major time saver. I shave my head and beard with a razor. Get in the shower, put it my mouth, adjust it, put shave gel all over my head and face, and shave. So easy. I used to always butcher my goatee, shaving the sides uneven, taking more and more off each time and it ended up so small it wasn't worth keeping. This keeps it all even, and you won't savage your goatee. Great product.

Product is OK, but in my opinion not as good as marketed. Here's why - Goatee will be round unlike in the shown picture. - Skin moves under the goateesaver during wet shave and hence it's easy to make mistake even when using this product - Built quality isn't as good as mentioned in many reviews. Product looks surprisingly weak where adjustment screws are attached to side guards (sorry, cannot describe it better) and I don't want to find out if it can take dropping. I used this product once to give my goatee approximate shape that I cleaned with free hand. I think this product is well suited for that purpose, but does not give the wanted end result and hence one has to shape the goatee with free hand as without owning this product. I had such a great hopes for this product, but unfortunately I feel that it didn't deliver.

They say that the simple ideas are the best and this does not disappoint. Having been unable to shape an even goatee I always ended up shaving it off. This template is simple to use and yields great results. As others have said it doesn't improve your looks while you have it on but then who shaves to an audience. If you are wanting to keep your goatee symmetrical an looking as it should then this item is for you. Highly recommended

I was somewhat sceptical about this. But it does a very good job at giving you a clean line. Unfortunately the design does allow for a mishap if you’re not careful. The silver bars are rotated to push the grey sides out the the required distance. As you do this a gap opens under your chin. As I need glass tilting my head bag to see under my chin is almost impossible to see what I’m doing. (Glasses balenced right on the very top of my nose) Because of this gap in the guide you can not confidently run your razors edge along the guide with out the possibility of taking a chunk out of the middle. I found pressing the guide and puffing cheeks helped to with getting a clean line.

I got fed up with the winter full beard and cut it down to my usual year-round goatee. Last time I went to the barber's I asked for the beard just to be neatened up - he attacked it and took most of it off (will see my usual barber next time!). I'd not shaved for nearly a week so I adjusted the device and set to work with my Philips One Blade. Yes, it works well as long as you are careful, particularly when adjusting the width. Once you have got that right, puff your cheeks out a bit to not leave any gaps. As for the line under your jaw: don't shave up to the edge of the template: it's not too difficult to trim a centimeter or so lower if, like me, you prefer a fuller beard. It's getting the SYMMETRY correct, left and right, that is the real strength of this device and that is something quite difficult to get exactly right just by hand. You can of course trim any remaining wispy bits by hand. A useful tool for anyone fed up with getting their beard not quite right!

As a new goatee wearer, I had already spent far to long getting the shape right only to accidently cut a chunk out and have to start again. I was sceptical about this but what did I have to lose? Now I would not be without it. It is easy to set up and amazingly simple to use. If you're in a hurry, this is also a real time saver. Simple and effective - this thing really works.

Purchased this to help shape my goatee and to be honest I'm not thrilled with it but saying that it's ok. Only used it 2 times and first time was with a good result but when I used it to go to a important function I managed to completely mess it up and had to shave my goatee off. This has put me off but saying that I may just be a idiot and not use it correctly! It comes with basic instructions but the construction is good. I say give it a go as I probably didn't use it correctly ...... Good Luck!

Wht was I thinking buying this. TotAL WASTE OF MONEY AND I FEEL STUPID. you need 0% gag reaction to hold and even then you'd do better judging for yourself. Am embarassed i bought this product
