Oxford OF801 Monster Chain and Padlock 12mm x 1.2 meters

This is a good chunky and heavy duty chain. Rated "Gold" for motorcycles, I believe that is equivalent of "diamond" for bicycles. With an increase in thefts in my local area, I hope it will improve the security of bikes in my shed, although a determined thief with the right tools could still probably break it. The 2M length is good - allowing me to loop it through three bicycles (which also have other locks).

Lock is to small for the link size so you have to interlock the links. Bad design and poor for how much it cost.

So I doubly resent having to buy this.But the world is how it is and so I bought it and now I feel a little reassurance - if the theiving scrotes already got into the garage, their grubby villainous little faces will drop when presented with this, they will definitely have their work cut out getting through this set up.So yeah 5 stars overall, but not cheap

This monster chain is one of the most secure and heavy duty chains and locks you could possibly find. I bought a two metre long chain to secure a back gate after a stranger had walked through it and into my kitchen. That will now not be happening again! I also found the customer services of this company very helpful as I asked them for some advice on how to use the lock.

Dont buy this unless you want a load of grief trying to get it locked, links on the chain link to big for the shackle.I managed to get it locked once after 15 mins messing about. Brilliant chain very sturdy and lock looks good to but shame you can't use it Oxford YOU have messed up big time on this!!!Make the shackle on the lock about 20mm larger and its a brilliant set up for your bike.Maybe I had a faulty one but don't think so.

This is a very impressive chain and lock, not the cheapest but as good as some more expensive ones Ive seen. If anyone manages to to break this chain they will have had to work very hard but it will deter most people with ill intent

Arrived the very next day! Chain is heavy and massive! I actually purchased this after seeing it withstand two robbers with a number of different built cutters on a crime watch show. Was very impressive
