Nifty little things!
Currently using these for work on a half-hull model. Like all planes, these must be sharpened before use, the blades were slightly bumpy and in a bit of a bad condition when they arrived, however this took no longer than 10 minutes each of sharpening.I have only used these for one day, however they have been great to use. I tested them on a piece of Oak to see how they coped with hardwood, and they certainly do the trick.Looks-wise they are beautiful, with a nice hardwood base. I will be putting them in my locker at the end of the day as I could see many interested eyes glaring in the boatyard.

Blunt as a butter knife
Poor steel that cannot be sharpened. Poorly made. Trash.

Nice little plane

Handy when needed
The "bullnose" plane cannot be used for most bullnose work- the blade goes no where near the sides as the construction would not allow for this, so forget about rebates. But these little planes have their uses once tuned and sharpened. Strongly advise testing the depth of cut before trying to use these straight on a project

They could just do better...
Well.First of all, I did received those items, with the “usual” minimum delay. These tools were far off the quality those nice, web images suggest.-The blades were totally blunt. One of them (the Mini Brass Piano Plane) needs some serious grounding before sharpening…-One of the planes (the… piano Mini) is totally out of alignment. The blade is not square, towards the pushing motion direction. The pin that supports the tongue is more than 3mm out of line (that’s quite a serious setback if we take into account the small size of this tool…)-All screws seem to sit-in following some non-Euclidean geometry. Nothing is square or properly aligned!Ok.I suppose if one is after a quality tool, he (or she) will consider it twice before buying a cheap tool. On the other hand, these are really simple tools. If they were more accurately put together, they would be just great (I keep wondering. How hard is to assemble these without mistakes?).I am mostly disappointed by the difference between the image on the web shop and the real thing.Anyway,I guess that I will just go on & make my own (DIY) mini planes. How hard can this be?

Good as decor
The blades are terrible. Impossible to rescue. The only use case I can see for these is as decor items. But they are a bit expensive for that!
