Is it good to protect your clothes in a rainy day?

Its not for external use. Only inside the house and with the heated clothes horse it's made for. Both used together and it's brilliant! Clothes dry well and no smell!

Can I put this on carpet?

Yes, mine is always on a carpet - hasn’t harmed it yet. Best to make sure the clothes are well spun, though...& if handwashing, no drips. If you’re worried you could put an old towel under the dryer. I could not survive winter without this contraption!
