Official Ab Trimmer / Probe with Headrest

Very easy to put together with no problems what so ever, solid kit, and comfort when doing a workout.

Good quality, easy to assemble, effective and looks good. Brought to replace an aging (26years) AB trimmer and is so much lighter to use and its fine ergonomic design makes it easier to really work your abs.A couple of minor gripes. The trimmer 'walks' when used on a carpet instead of staying in one position and it is not easy to break down and store which is a requirement if you live in a relatively small living space. My old one could be dismantled by undoing a thumbscrew and it folded away whilst this one it would me undoing a number of screws to do the same thing and that is impactable .Overall though, a good exercise buy that should last for many years

Works well, it’s just no different to 100s of others like it on Amazon. It arrived promptly and was easy to setup.

Excellent product, easy to assemble and delivered very quickly, lightweight but very strong, doesn’t fold down without an Allen key but not an issue for me as I use it everyday and wouldn’t collapse it. Very effective on abdominal muscles without the the strain and lower back impact of sit-ups.

Many a long year ago I bought a similar product for myself but one of my nephews took a fancy to it (nothing unusual there I guess). I had always intended buying a replacement for myself and finally took the plunge.I had hoped to buy the same model I used in the past but just could not find it. I settled with this Body Sculpture brand based on the seller's pictures and description, together with some of the reviews.It was easy to put together although the model I received was not exactly the same as the display pictures or the instruction manual. For example, the screws that fix the top handle to the bottom are actually on the outside, not the inside. I did wonder if I had assembled it incorrectly but no, there was only one way these pieces would fit together.The idea of an ab trimmer/cruncher is quite simple. Lie down (a yoga style mat is good for this), head on the head rest, and essentially rock the unit so you move up and down with it. Okay, that is a simplistic definition and there are a number of other exercises that can be done (the instruction book does show these).And that is where my satisfaction ended. This might have looked a near identical product to the one I had previously used in the past and really liked but that is where the resemblance ended. The head rest is like putting your head on a brick! There is just no kind of padding at all. Given the price of the unit, some kind of padded mat should have been included (it was in my own older version) to help protect shoulders and spine. And to move it, to get the "rocking" action, took a huge amount of effort when the whole idea of an ab cruncher is to make the exercise regime easy and fun.Perhaps if a person already has a 6-pack or is very sporty, they would find this quite straight forward but for the average user who is just starting out trying to get in some kind of trim, this is just too difficult to use and a lot of core strength is needed (the one thing most people who want an ab cruncher doesn't have to starrt with). The height of the top handlebar is just too high (and I am a fully grown adult male) to grip comfortably and the centre of gravity from the shoulders to the "curve" in the bottom part of the unit is too far away from the angle of the handlebar - and this is what prevents an easy rocking motion being picked up from the start.Although looking exactly what I wanted - and, indeed, looking better and with better reviews than other similar products - in practice it has proved to be a bit of a failure in terms of its difficulty and lack of overall balance. These are too expensive to just discard and then go buy another so I will just have to persevere or else give it away - not to mention I will need to buy an exercise mat to protect shoulders, sides and spine from hard floors/carpets. This latter should either have been included by the manufacturer since it is essential or else a prominent note should have been placed in the description for customers to be aware of.Easy to assemble, very sturdy even though it is lightweight, but with a solid brick for a so-called headrest, no protection for the body, and a strange length on the bottom section preventing immediate and easy rocking have prevented my giving this a higher rating at this point in time.

I would advise against purchasing this product. The assembly instructions looked promising, but the parts failed to fit at Step 1, including after repeated effort. On seeking to return the product, I discovered that the supplier does not permit this. Thankfully, my Amazon contact was very kind and efficient in supporting me by providing a refund. However, it is unclear why this should have been necessary, given the option I had chosen, pointing to an issue with the product, on requesting a return.I have recently purchased a replacement product from an alternative supplier. I found the corresponding assembly process enjoyable (with no frustrations) and efficient.

Bought this to replace older device. This one is good, soft rubber on parts where hands go so nice and sturdy and comfy in use.
