Outstanding Studio Microphone for a Great Price
The Marantz Professional MPM-1000 is a fantastic condenser microphone that punches well above its price range. As someone who records podcasts and voiceovers regularly, this microphone has significantly elevated the quality of my recordings. The audio clarity is exceptional, capturing a warm and natural sound that rivals more expensive microphones. It's particularly impressive for vocals but also performs well for instruments if you’re into music recording. The cardioid polar pattern minimizes background noise effectively, which is a huge plus if you’re in a less-than-perfect recording environment. The package includes everything you need to get started: a sturdy desktop stand, an XLR cable, and a shock mount, all of which feel solid and durable. It’s plug-and-play with any audio interface, making it beginner-friendly but professional enough for more advanced users.Whether you're a podcaster, musician, or content creator, the MPM-1000 is an affordable yet professional-grade solution that delivers excellent sound quality. Highly recommended!

Amazing Quality at Great Price Point
This is a high quality mic for not a lot of money. The pick up on it is fantastic. Audio quality is top notch. I use for recording my podcast & I am super happy with this purchase. It's a step up from the M4U, which I also own. Although that mic is excellent also. Comes with sock mount & 2 meter XLR cable. If you record audio for music, PA, podcasting, this is the best mic at the best price. Highly recommend. A***

Pro quality sound on a budget
This is a fantastic condenser microphone for its price. It has great tone and is solidly built. I have many microphones, condensers and dynamics etc. In a studio recording environment this mic holds its own against many more expensive condenser microphones. Its clean yet warm sounds gives a noise represntation of the recorded source. Whilst not being totally flat this mic has great frequency response without too much colour and is great for instrument mic scenarios...however it really stands out on vocal applications. When you factor in the price too then anyone podcaster, home studio or professional studio owner really would benefit from having one in the mic collection.

Good value but not really professional quality
I was happy with this considering the price, and it recorded an audiobook that met Amazon's technical requirements. However after that one project I replaced it with a Rode NT1-A which is far superior ... easier for the voice artist to deliver a nuanced performance, easier for me to edit the audio, better final experience for the listener. The Maranz is a good choice if you're on a tight budget or if excellent audio quality is not a priority ... but I'd say get something better for real professional use.Four stars because it's still good value, and good enough for lots of uses.

Excellent value for the price.
I use this microphone with the the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD, provides a great sound for my podcast recording, video voice overs and online meetings.Rich sound, solid build, great quality for the price.Remember this is a condenser mic and needs phantom power, so make sure you have the appropriate equipment to power this mic correctly.

Great mic, flimsy stand
Cant fault the mic for the price, but the stand/holder where they screw together is very poor. The brass threaded insert just falls out of the plastic collar and if you pick it up by the mic the leg part just falls off. Had to make the joint tighter with glue and ptfe tape.

Top mic Cheap price
Bought this microphone for my home PC setup. This is the perfect budget XLR microphone. If you don't have the money to pay out for a high end USB microphone such as the AT20-20, This will suffice you just fine. The sound quality is outstanding and I was shocked at the quality of the driver it has and the sound output.I personally use this for chatting to friends on Discord when playing games and also streaming and recording voice overs and for the price it is tough contender. The shockmount that is indcluded fits snugly around the body of the micropohne and hasn't left on dents or scuffs on it either. Definetly does it's job as i have knoced my mic several times when talking with friends and during recordings and havn't noticed any noise spikes at all.The included tripod though it is a nice touch, I would recommend getting a boom arm if your planning on leaving it with your setup, as it doesn't seem to support the weight of the mic very well in my experience, and £10 for a cheap mic arm in my opinion is worth it.The XLR cable that is included also work perfectly fine and the length is long enought to route and tuck away neatly whilst still having some slack cable for manouvreabilty. It is worth noting that it does require a audio interface as the mic is XLR it cannot be plugged driectly in to the PC. The audio interface I use is the Behringer U-Phoria UM2 edition. Which works perfectly and provides the 48v PHANTOM POWER it NEEDS. There are better sound interfaces out there, however assuming your purchasing this mic you’re on a budget and that is a good interface for the money.
