Good pots as described
These are good pots for the price. They are thick and really 18/10 stainless steel heavy duty pots. They have lasted me a long time. I don't believe any of the 1 star reviews. These pots don't come with a label saying there is chemical like what the 1 star reviewers are saying. I have used other brands sold here and this is the best one by far.. The handle stays cool again not as described by the poor reviews. These pots are easy to clean because they are made of real stainless steel unlike other cheap thin ones sold here.

Cooks Standard 3-Quart Saucepan: A Kitchen Game-Changer!
In my quest for a larger saucepan to complement our cookware set, I stumbled upon the Cooks Standard 3-Quart Multi-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Saucepan with Lid, and let me tell you, it's a culinary revelation! Straight out of the box, this pan made a lasting impression. The weight feels just right, and the handle is a dream to hold. Visually, it's a stunner with its highly polished stainless steel finish – a true kitchen work of art. Cooking with this pan is a sheer joy. The even and rapid heating of ingredients is like a symphony for your taste buds. I've put it through its paces several times, and each culinary endeavor has been a delight. Bonus points: it's oven-friendly with zero signs of discoloration. The beauty of this saucepan extends beyond the kitchen; it's easy to clean, making post-cooking chores a breeze. So impressed was I that I immediately checked if Cooks Standard offered a full cookware set – talk about love at first cook! If you're in the market for a larger saucepan, your search ends here. Great delivery of a great pan
This pan arrived 5 days earlier than promised, so kudos to Amazon, I get to use it for Thanksgiving dinner which was desirable, but unexpected. The pot itself is very nice, the finish and feel is better than the rest of my set which is food network. That's saying something since the food network set is great and very attractive. My main purpose in writing this review is to present as factually as possible the size of this pan. Many reviews say it is less than 3 quarts The interior diameter below the lip is 7.125 inches. The interior depth is 4.5 inches. The capacity measured by using measuring cups full of water is 12 cups to the point where the flare starts at the rim and 13 cups if filled to the brim. That is 3.0 quarts to the bottom of the lip and 3.25 quarts to the brim. The pan is unusual in that many 3 qt. sauce pans are closer to 8 inches in diameter and shorter than this one. I have a 2 quart. (listed size) sauce pan that came with the food network set and it actually holds 9 cups to the bottom of the flare and 10 cups to the brim. The pans are nearly identical in diameter and the lids can be interchanged with a good tight fit on either pan. The Cooks standard 3 quart. pan is one inch deeper than the 2 quart food network pan. The food network pan has quarter quart. measurements marked inside, but 8 measuring cups (2 quarts) of water only fill it to the 1.75 quart mark. It actually holds 2.5 quarts. to the brim and 2.25 quarts. usable. So the capacity of the Cooks Standard 3.0 quart sauce pan is actually 3.25 quarts with 3,0 quarts usable. The cooks standard capacity is closer (as a percent ) to the actual number than the Food Network pan. Both are a little over the listed capacity. The fall out from this is that universal steamer inserts and similar step sided universal double boiler inserts from 2 to 4qt. are a great fit for both . Most 3 qt. pan compatible double boilers or steamers are 8 or more inches in diameter and will not fit this pan. Many 2 or 2.5 quart double boilers and steamers fit fine. The key is that they fit a 7 inch diameter pan. The fixed sizes for double boiler inserts are usually rounded and are reported to be easier to beat/mix and easier to clean (double boilers) than the step sided units. I have a step sided universal steamer and don't find cleaning it to be an issue. This is a great pan ands fits in with the Food Network set very well (they don't sell a stand alone 3Qt saucepan). I recommend it to anyone who wants a forever pan.

Build quality good, very nice
The quality seems good. Solid built. I like that it's not a glass lid like all the others, but comes with a proper stainless steel lid.

Just can't say enough good things about this pan!! LOVE IT!!!
I bought my Cooks pan in October of 2014, and in the time of use (it's currently July, 2017), I have nothing but words of praise for this little workhorse!! There are few things you buy that you just are so completely delighted with, and for me, this was one of those rare gems. I use the 3-quart size daily to heat water, cook veggies, etc., so I bought this one as an extra to a very nice Cuisinart set I bought some years before. The Cuisinart pans are excellent quality as well and I would give them very high marks too except for two things: the handles have an uncomfortable shape to gripe (kind of force your palm to mash together in an uncomfortable way to grip it safely to lift or pour, especially when the pan is full and heavy) and they can become so hot to pick up without a pot holder. The Cooks pan has a pot handle and handle on the lid that have an extremely comfortable shape to grip (NO mashing up of your palm—your hand just fits comfortably and solidly around the curved handle) and that's important when you're pouring out hot liquid from a very full pan like I often do. Also, the handles are hollow and don't hold the scorching heat that my Cuisinart pan does. I'm not sure I have ever had to use a pot holder on this Cooks pan, and it's a must for the Cuisinart pan. The finish on the pan gleams and looks fantastic even though I use this daily. Surface is pretty easy to clean. I've never had rust or any other issues with the finish. It heats evenly and well—never noticed a problem in that area. The handles are secure and well attached. I can imagine this pan could last for decades of use. I love it and it's the favorite pan I reach for over the other Cuisinart. The 3-quart size is fantastic for so many things—not too big, not too small. I'd give it more stars if I could. You won't regret buying this pan (or probably any of the Cooks cookware) and the price point is pretty amazing compared to other brands.

Super sturdy small pan for daily use. What I like most about it is that the bottom plate is not jointed, making it easier to maintain.

I'm a big fan of well-made, reliable cookware, and this Cooks Standard 3-Quart Multi-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Saucepan definitely delivers! Here's why it gets 5 stars from me: Stainless Steel Strength: This pan is built to last! The thick, high-quality stainless steel feels incredibly sturdy and durable. It can handle anything I throw at it in the kitchen. Practical Lid: While a clear lid might be handy for monitoring boiling water, I actually prefer the practicality of stainless steel. It's less prone to scratching or shattering, and let's be honest, I've dropped a lid or two in my time! Super Savings: I snagged this saucepan on a fantastic sale, making it an incredible value for the quality. Dishwasher (Almost) Friendly: This pan is dishwasher safe, which is a big plus for easy cleanup. However, I have noticed some slight marks after running it through the dishwasher. It's nothing a quick hand wash can't fix, and considering the durability of stainless steel, it's a minor trade-off. Overall: This Cooks Standard Saucepan is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable, well-made saucepan. The thick stainless steel construction ensures even heat distribution and long-lasting performance. The included lid is a practical choice, and the fact that I scored it on sale makes it an even sweeter deal. While the dishwasher might leave some slight marks, the overall quality and durability far outweigh that minor detail. Highly recommend!

Really great pans. They are not non-stick but that's really the point, no toxic chemical released when you cook. The pan heats up much faster than my old non-stick pans and you can get food to properly "caramelize" eg: onions+olive oil. Very easy to clean, although you'll need non-scrach sponges/pads and they are fine in the dishwasher as well. Only two small complains: the pans are pretty heavy compared to others and the outside of the rivets have oxydized a bit after only a month, they just made of a different metal, but everything seems very solid.

I know it's not Al-Clad or some other fancy brand, but I have to say I'm very impressed. So impressed, I bought the 10-piece set. The "Made in China" part on the bottom is not ideal, but they're still not necessarily cheap pots and pans. The pot is heavy and heat distribution is excellent. Milk boils quickly and the residue is quite easy to wash off because the thickness and consistency of the material keeps the milk from burning. So, what more can be said. It's good value for the money. I've used the pot every day for the last four weeks, and it has performed flawlessly so far.

I was in the market for a 4-quart sauce pan to replace one in a set where the aluminum bottom had eroded away in the dishwasher. I bought this 3-quart pot and I'm very impressed with the quality. It feels heavy duty and it should last many years. I like the fact that it is fully clad, so it shouldn't have the same erosion problem as my old set. It is compatible with the steamer and double boiler from my old set, so I don't need to replace those. I'm not crazy about the high loop on the lid (it takes up more space in cupboard), but it's not enough to detract from my enjoyment of the pot. I only wish they made a 4-quart sauce pan in the same shape (I would even consider buying an entire set if they did). Overall, I'd say this is good value for a quality product.
