Finally a perfect LED light. Soft start without flashing and dimmable without flickering.
This review is for BR40, 65W-equivalent, 800 Lumen, 2700K version: I am beyond enthusiastic about these LED light bulbs. They are a dream come true. I like them so much and felt such inspired by them that I could hardly wait to share my positive review. These LED light bulbs absolutely look and feel like incandescent lights! I tried running them alongside with similarly frosted incandescent lights and it is hard to tell the difference; hard to tell, which one I prefer more. They are THAT much alike. Needels to say, the color temperature is a perfect match. Unlike some other LED bulbs that are currently on the market, these start not only WITHOUT a flash, these start with a speedy, yet incremental increase of output. On the other hand, when turning them off, they turn off with a speedy dim. Have I mentioned how beautiful and warming the output is? I will definitely keep ordering more of these. Recommended to friends only.

Good light, no flicker
I only buy Philips Ultra-Definition after a comparison test showed they're the best combination of: no flicker, colour accuracy, and energy efficiency. they've lived up to my expectations for the past 2 years.

Way brighter, wider dispersion, and bigger than 65W incandescent bulbs
My house is filled with 75W BR40 incandescent bulbs, some of which have relatively little use, and these "65W equivalent" bulbs are significantly brighter than any of them. They're also slightly longer, so they stick out of some of the fixtures a bit and produce more glare. Plus the diffuser on the front makes them basically directionless, giving them a much wider dispersion than a typical BR40 flood, which has kind of a cheap look and again produces more direct glare.

Warm Light
I'll always prefer the "warmth" of incandescent bulbs but that's not an option anymore. I've tried numerous soft white LED bulbs hoping to get that incandescent glow. Philips Ultra Definition is the bulb that hits the mark for me. Whether the bulb is for recessed in the kitchen or a lamp in a bedroom, this is the warmest light bulb I have found. The only brand of bulb I would happily purchase again.

The best BR40
These are the best of the LED bulbs.

Great bulbs and dim perfectly
I needed a new bulbs to replace some 10 year old LED bulbs that started to develop flickers or turning off from overheating. These bulbs are great, they are a color match for the other 2700K bulbs I have and dim very well on my Lutron Caseta dimmers. As long as I get the 10 years I got out of the Sylvania bulbs they will have been worth it.
