My Neighbor Totoro: The Novel : Kubo, Tsugiko, Miyazaki, Hayao: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Beautiful Book! - Very nice for the price I payed (even saving a couple of pounds). The canvas cover looks and feels wonderful and the paper is very white and quite thick. The print is large and the font is easily read. The illustrations by Miyazaki himself are soft and more like sketches making them easy on the eyes and suitable for people of every age. The book will be a birthday gift so I can't comment on the story itself but knowing Miyazaki, it will be brilliant. The book is just lovely and will be much appreciated by the birthday boy who is a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Couldn't be happier. :) Review: Highly Recommended for any Studio Ghibli Fan - I bought this as soon as I saw I could. I love Studio Ghibli and I adore Totoro. This book is a cute hardback with some gorgeous illustrations (including a coloured map at the start!) and the writing is just as whimsical and magical as the film.

Beautiful.
Looking forward in giving this to my daughter for Christmas. Beautifully bound and has a lovely dustcover. The illustrations inside are delicate and beautiful. Can't wait to see her reaction when she gets this. Prompt delivery and packaged well.

Beautifully written, a must read
Hands down the most beautifully heart warming story I’ve ever read. Really brings the story alive and provides a deeper insight into one of my favourite all time animations.

I like the fact that this is a little hardback book ...
Classic Ghibli film and as I am a book lover I thought I would treat myself to this novel. I have not read it cover to cover yet but the story seems to follow the film but with more content as you would expect. Chapters include: The new old house, is this house haunted?, mother, Mei meets Totoro, the rainy day, the bus stop at Imari shrine, Totoros gift, summer vacation, Mei goes missing and finally, thank you Totoro. I like the fact that this is a little hardback book has a textured feel to the cover almost as if it's an old book. The print is a good size which makes reading more pleasant and more suitable for children. Please see pictures, ruler and pen to aid sizing.
