Excellent & essential
Perfect for painstaking window work, borders, edges and cutting in. Asus is reliable brand that gives total satisfaction. Glides easily, holds paint perfectly, cleans simply and has a long handle which gives you excellent reach behind radiators and the like. I trust Asus to give me what I need to do every paint job with skilful ease and I wouldn’t buy any other brushes.

Heartily recommended.
This is a very good cutting-in brush, as other reviewers have noted. I can add that there has been no bristle loss (a point that other reviewers have also noted), and the angle cut makes it highly controllable. In terms of quality, I had never heard of the brand before, but I shall certainly purchase from them again, as it compares well against much more expensive brushes that I have bought in the past from the usual DIY outlets. It cleans well and is fast becoming my go-to brush, except when I am looking to paint larger areas. If the quality of this brush is reflected in the multipack brushes, then they are a DIY steal, I'd reckon. Heartily recommended. Most importantly, it gives an excellent finish, with no noticeable 'dragging' of the paint.

Excellent brush
I am a professional painter. Normally I buy the Monarch “rat tail” brushes from Homebase but they appear no not stock anything large than a 1.5 inch any more so I thought I’d try these instead. The synthetic hairs are very nice. The angle is perfect. The brush holds a lot of paint and makes cutting in very easy and produces a near perfect straight line when held and guided correctly. They were easy to clean. For the price, these are amazing brushes. I would encourage people to buy these, even if you’re not a pro and want to simply do your own DIY painting: they will make your job easier and are very affordable. Normally professional brushes of this quality would be double the price at least. Clean them out properly and they should last quite a while.

All good, great quality.
Good product, quality build should last a lifetime if looked after properly. Great for cutting in with emulsion or oil based paints.

Does size matter?
While slim in girth, this has a long shank. But does size matter or is it what you can do with it? The angled brush is a revelation. I've used small brushes, sash brushes, wide brushes with care, but never an angled one. it's a accurate and quick. Cutting in on glazing bars was easy and fast. Lines lapping glass small and neat. But I used it more broadly to tip off after rollers. Good. To paint into awkward areas. Good. Generally held paint well. Distributed well. Broadly low on drips. Was used with an oil based eggshell with owatrol. Left few brush marks. I can see this being a staple. Which given it is a few quid more than no nonsense cheapos or a bit more than the better brushes in the likes of wickes, it's still worth it. Makes me wonder if Wooster silver tips or alphas etc. Would be even better. As for the long handle, it makes a difference. It gives you the option of greater reach when you need it. So yes size does matter and gives you so much more to go at when you use it, particularly with the angle tip. Probably would now try wider versions to give me a bit more paint hold when cutting in. Wish I'd got this much earlier.

A perfect tool makes for a perfect job!
We have had major building works, overhauling the whole of our downstairs, so months of redecorating! I painted the new kitchen with my usual favourite brush, but found it hard to get a completely straight cut in of the mineral blue colour with the white ceiling. Wish I'd had this brush then! So I looked online, read the reviews and thought I'd give this one a go in the new sun room.Wow! A miracle brush. What a difference- once I'd got the hang of this new shape, a completely straight cut in. It's so easy to drag it along and its shape means it stays perfectly right into the corner. It's now my favourite brush as it's also superb with finer detailing round architraving and skirting boards on the final coat after the walls have been finished. Absolutely love it and would recommend 200%. I'm not a pro but have done up lots of my homes, am female, aged 58, if that helps you.

My favourite paint brush!
Well I guess I must be getting old if I'm reviewing a paint brush! What next, a pair of slippers!? I wouldn't normally comment on such a prosaic item, but having been through a plethora of different brushes when I took a week off work to completely redecorate my girlfriend's property ready for sale, this one stood out above all of the others. It's not just that the slightly angled head seems to make the process of "cutting-in" so much easier, it's the simple design, balanced feel, and superb quality of this brush that I really liked. It performed much better than more expensive "premium" brushes. And despite getting a tremendous amount of use, both during and since the aforementioned redecoration, it hasn't shed a single bristle. If you've got a decorating task that requires you to paint neat edges, this is a really useful addition to your kit. My only suggestion from experience of using this particular size (1.5 inch) would be that if you are cutting-in a wall ready for the roller, one the slightly larger brush heads might be even better.
