Activon Medical Grade Manuka Honey x 2

This was recommended to me by a District Nurse during a visit to dress a bedsore. She also used a honey infused dressing . Since then I always have a pack ready and apply at first sight of skin problem. Acts quickly and efficiently . Honey is a natural healer,for me better than more chemicals . Very happy with purchase .

My husband developed leg ulcers and I used this product on the ulcers underneath suitable dressings. I have previously used it very successfully on a cyst which I had. It appears to clean out wounds and it definitely helps to heal them. I have reduced the product from 5* to 4* as you cannot reseal the tube once you have opened it. As a result, even if you only need to use a small amount, you are stuck with an open tube which you cannot close. Why? This is ludicrous. I tried to get round this by putting the open tube in a mug and putting this in the fridge. This was to try and keep the ointment fresh and pure. However, this only worked to a degree. If the tube was left in the fridge for any length of time, the ointment became clogged in the tube and would not come out. This is quite an expensive product so it is frustrating that so much of it must end up being thrown out.

Excellent for healing wounds especially mouth sores as it’s safe to swallow. I’m never without this stuff, I’ve been using it since an operation I had in 2008 - even my surgeon agreed it was the best thing to heal my wound - and it works wonders. Even used it on my cat when she had a wound on her neck.

Amazing stuff! Used on my dog for castration incision that refused to heal, multiple visits to the vets with rising bill then I stumbled upon this and he was healed in around 5 days, for 5 wks the vets just kept charging for tests, I cannot recommend this enough, please always seek vets advice if your concerned but this is definitely worth a try

I've used Manuka honey many times before to protect and help wounds heal. This stuff is fantastic, after a very severe steam burn (my own fault) I dressed the wound site and applied this over the wound. Two weeks later wound a lot better and skin healing over. Week 3 now and wound is a very pale pink area of newly grown skin and painless. Brilliant!

I bought this when my dog got mastitis and developed an abscess. Just 2 days of using this and it started healing and within a week totally healed. Delighted with this product

Extremely sticky as to be expected, but the tube I opened has honey crystals in it. All through the tube. This hurts when applying to sensitive areas. I am sure to keep it closed and avoid air contact, but still crystals formed. I’ll try putting it in hot water first before use. Good product, disappointed with the crystallisation.

J'avais déjà soigné des petites blessures et brulures avec du miel alimentaire, mais jamais pour une plaie plus importante. Une escarre pour être précis. Après l’utilisation de divers traitements plus ou moins inefficaces, prescrits par mon médecin, et après quelques recherches sur le miel de Manuka, j’ai décidé d’essayer Activon. Ce miel médical est incroyable. En peu de temps, ma plaie est en voie de cicatrisation. De plus, les pansements au miel se retirent plus facilement que les pansements classiques, et sans aucune douleur. Ravi de ce produit ! Attention, d’après une amie infirmière, le miel est acide et pour ne pas déshydrater les tissus autour de la plaie, il faut l'appliquer en fine couche, sans déborder de la plaie. Et, avec la chaleur ambiante et corporelle, le miel coule et donc, ça n’et pas évident. Personnellement, avant de l’appliquer, je mets une pommade homéopathique cicatrisante grasse, sur la peau autour. Seul petit bémol, le bouchon ne se referme pas. Mais je conseille vivement. Le prix en vaux la chandelle.
