The authors use a touch of humor to help we "older" users to retain the knowledge that they are conveying.I always tell my "young" computer whiz kids that I have a technological impairment. Now I just pick up themanual and sign on. The book answers all of my questions. I really love Dummie books and I have a number of them sitting on my claims desk...Words, Microsoft, Soccer, I Phones for Seniors...just to mention a few.

Came quickly and arrived packaged well. The book is easy to follow and does have a lot of good information. It's organized so if you have a question it's easy to find an answer.

I bought this for my sister whose suffered a TBI, she forgot many of the basics on the computer, I’m hoping that the book will help her.

My 84 year old father found this book "too long and complicated." This is a guy who is good at reading directions, and can figure out his fancy digital cameras, DVR, cable, and other tech items. So I would suggest that the chapter break-downs be done with physical tabs, and that major points be highlighted in larger type in colored boxes. This will break it up, and make it easier to swallow in small bites.

This looks like a really good book. It should answer a lot of my burning questions. I was not pleased that I bought a brand new book and it came ripped. That was Amazon's fault that it was not properly shipped. But, I didn't want to create a fuss so I just kept the book. But you should know, they don't put most books in boxes anymore. Hence, the problem.

I think it's a great book with a lot of the basics a person who is a bit computer illiterate might need. I just wish I could get my husband to open it.It arrived quickly and will be useful for moments when even I, someone who is on the computer a majority of her time, will be able to use.

This is a requested stocking stuffer Christmas present for my wife. I thumbed through the book when I got it and it's full of the kind of information, presented wonderfully, that she will use. Great Series !

I was stunned when I turned to "connect the monitor,keyboard and mouse" on page 22 to read no instructions except to refer to the manufacturer's instructions. I have no instructions! This equipment came from my job! That is why I bought this book! Totally unhelpful and I am totally disappointed with this book. Don't buy it.
