I got this for my 12" 2016 Macbook, Space Gray.The first thing I noticed was that packaging is very nice - It comes in a small box, you open it and take the product out - not sure if it's considered Amazon Frustration Free Packaging, but it was definitely Frustration Free!I took the adapter out and plugged it straight into my Macbook. NOTE: If you have a case that covers the left side of your device, you'll have to modify it or remove the case.First thing I noticed: The adapter is a bit flimsy. The only thing holding it is the USB C port, which means it can wobble a bit.Another thing that bothers me is that the USB C male plug on the adapter is closer to the center, which means the adapter sticks out from the Macbook a bit (see pictures). Totally fine though, don't act recklessly with it and you'll be fine.Other than that, all ports are working, USB and SD card are plenty fast, excited to use this device more!

Works great, but it doesn't stay in the socket REALLY well. If you dont move around much, it will stay put but sometimes it gets bumped by my Belkin Nostromo (numbered gaming pad) on the left side of my computer... and my mouse will stop working because that's what's plugged in with the Nostromo, too. I'm right handed with my mouse, so if I plug this thing in on the other side, I'm even more likely to bump it and make it come out enough to lose connection. If you're not a gamer, it probably will work great for you. I LOVE the card reader part. That's why I bought this one, honestly. And that part works great too. I've had it a while and really am pretty happy with the product over all.Edit Feb 3, 2019So this guy still works pretty great, but the inner part has started to pop out of the casing. I can put it back together and it still works, but yeah.. there's no screw or anything keeping it from popping out of the 'housing'... also, I got a plastic protector for my laptop and this doesn't connect if the bottom protect or is on. I am only able to use the top part of the protective case if I want to use this adapter. Still glad I bought it, and happy with the versatility, just being transparent about the drawbacks to this one.

To say I was mind-bogglingly astonished with the excellent quality of this product, would be the understatement of this century....and most likely of the last century also. My skepticism concerning this product I must say, was far beyond what most would entertain and still purchase it. The price was so low at, $15.90, I figured well, what the hell, it's covered by Amazon, so I can always return it. But believe me; I will certainly NOT be returning this little Gem of an adapter! I have had trouble finding cables/adapters which will function properly with my ASUS Zenbook 3 Deluxe UX490UA; I was beginning to worry that I had purchased a computer that was following in Apple's repugnant footsteps....you know, charging their clients (actually way overcharging them to the point of extortion) for things most other manufacturers award their clients free of charge.This 5-in-1-Adapter is constructed beautifully, out of an Aluminum alloy, giving it the substance, texture and promise of durability you'd expect from a much higher-end, more expensive piece of equipment. I unequivocally recommend this product to anyone needing a device with similar specifications, and would still consider it a bargain even if it sold for three times its current price....

This is the 3rd hub I’ve bought. 2 Chinese brands ( this one included ) and one labeled Lenovo. Lenovo doesn’t even make a hub! Anyway, this hub was well constructed except the 2 USB-A ports were grinding my cables. Further inspection showed they were not finished well inside.The USB-C port? With the hub connected to my MacBook, I plugged in the charger cable. The MacBook beeped once like it should then play a symphony of beeps. Of course the device was not charging my laptop either.You get what you pay for and this one was pure junk. I don’t have a solution as to what to buy for a hub now. I hope the seller is reading this.STAY AWAY!

This device is cheap, economically speaking as well as in manufacturing.I've tested the USB & the charging capabilities so far. No issue with flashdrive use, but the moment I plug the power into the hub it disconnects USBs and the power becomes intermittent.tl;dr: Don't use this if you're not willing to risk damaging your computer.I would've loved for this work work as intended, but I've decided to return it as it seems far too poor in quality to continue using.

if you have the new version of MacBook Pro where there is no USB port and your looking for cheap and effective will recommend this no problems as yet

Plain and simply didn't work. It wasn't stable in the USB-C port so to make it work I had to wiggle it and hold it in place to keep a charge. Needless to pay, I was over that in 10 minutes and returned. Look elsewhere for a product similar to this.

It's perfect! I finally broke down and bought a new MacBook Pro, but didn't know what to think about there being no USB port, but this solved that problem! Keep in mind, that this plug won't work if you have a case on your laptop. You'll have to take the bottom case off in order to plug it in. Other than that, great product for the price!
