IRWINQUICK-GRIP One-Handed Bar Clamp, Heavy-Duty, 24", 1964714

I ended up with eight of these for a very involved roofing project. The 2x6x16 lumber used was from a big box store, poorly dried and warped horribly when left out while building the lean to roof. Used these to 'straighten' the rafters using both clamp and spreader configuations during sheathing installation, fix the rafter bird mouth cut to the 4x6 header while fastening with screws to maintain a tight joint. These work wetted by the rain as well as they do dry, although I did blow them down with compressed air after removal. These clamp TIGHT with little to no flex of the bar between the ends. Impressive quality!

I had the opportunity to compare the heavy duty clamp to a regular clamp, same brand, side-by-side in the use case of STRETCHING. The regular clamp began to bow indicating it reached its limit. The heavy duty clamp did not bow and was successful in the needed stretching force for the project, shown in the picture...stretching an upright into plumb. Worked extremely well. Very satisfied and now I have a clear example of where I knew I needed the Heavy Duty version!

I’ve got several small Irwin quick clamps but my favorite are the medium 300lb 24” model. I needed more length so bought the heavy duty 600lb 36” model, they are too heavy for one hand use and they don’t slide as well as the medium 300lb models BUT once in position they apply a lot of clamping force. I want to say I don’t like them but I can’t, use both hands to get them into position and the clamping force wins you over..Thanks Amazon for shipping them individually in way oversized boxes. 10 would fit in each box but you packaged them 1 per box, yep I love breaking down cardboard and filling up my recycle bin. Amazon for the win!

Irwin clamps the best out there.used them to hold my archery bow vise!perfect and very solid on my saw horse plywood bench!

It's a clamp, works good we'll see how Kong it lasts

This clamp will be used to put hydraulic couplers together on farm equipment, when hydraulic couplers and hoses are exposed to sunlight they buildup pressure and you can’t put the couplers together by hand, this clamp when adapted works great. It will save you a lot of time and headaches. I seen the adapters on U Tube and ordered from the company, it works for tractors,skidsteers. Adapters are from QC- Mate by XBoom.

I’m an artist and use these clamps to assemble panels. Let me just say most clamps have me in tears because they hurt my hands so bad my. Not these ones! They’re also stronger than the numerous other kinds that made me cry, not painful to use, and super effective. Don’t waste your money on other clamps. save yourself some time and get these ones.

These are very good clamps, fairly heavy duty. Perfect size for my use. Good price when on sale.
