Works as advertised!
Only used one so far so I guess this review could be altered in the future, but I hope not. First off, there is no substitute for a well placed shot. That being said I harvested the biggest buck so far at our private land we hunt in Texas. Not the biggest buck I’ve killed but he tipped the scales at a little over 200lbs. The broadside shot punched hole straight through the ribs. It went through and through. There was no contact with shoulder or leg bone, but ribs were broken or cut on both sides. I have not cleaned or spun-test the used blades/broadhead but on visual inspection they appear completely intact. The cut was 2+ inches on entrance and exit. The wound in all was a devastating double lung shot. The 25 yard shot was only 2 inches off mark, but considering a nock malfunction and adrenaline I was happy with the arrow strike position. The blood trail visibly was found about 15 yards on the trail and very rapidly increased in volume up to recovery. The buck only went approximately 50 yards before expiring. After using hypodermic +p and now these, so far I can conclude that the the titanium in these do help it maintain structural integrity. I will definitely keep these in my quiver.Update: 4 more deer with this broad head. One with reshaprened blades. All easy finds. Lots of blood.

Rage nailed it with these bad boys.
Very impressed with these. Ive always loved Rag but I’ve always felt there was room for improvement. These Trypans are pretty dang close to perfection. They just feel way more beefier than the standard hypodermics. The blades are finally thick and SHARP. I harvested 2 deer this week. A buck and a doe. I’m a meat hunter so I shot the doe in the neck. Nearly decapitated her. Only went 8 yards. Shot the buck in the neck as well. He went 40 yards but there was so much blood that a blind man could have followed the blood trail. I also shot both deer with the exact same broad head. In the past a blade would have broken. Not the case now. Didn’t even need to replace the blades and I was looking for a reason to use a different broadhead or to replace the blades. I’m pretty impressed to be honest. The shock collar is great too. Although I don’t like the fact that they are only a one use deal. But maybe that’s for the better bc they absolutely are going to deploy on impact. All in all, I am dang impressed and want more. Just at hate the price tag and they only give you 3 extra shock collars so that stinks.

Never had an issue
I’ve never had an issue with these. Always open and even after pass throughout the blades seem to hold up well even after they’ve been burned in the dirt after a pass through. Create large holes and great blood trails. Have harvested 5 deer with them.

Additional Items to Buy With These
These seem like high quality broadheads with a large cutting diameter. The reason for the four star was because you only get 6 shock collars and it costs $6-10 for 20 more of them. Additionally, you have to buy the practice heads for another $15-25. These end up being a lot more expensive than what meets the eye when you first purchase them. I guess it is a good business model for Rage because they will get an extra $25-30 out of you in the end.

One shot, but just one
Well, we will say at 30yards this doe did not run far. The rage hypodermic was a very critical tool in the harvesting of this particular animal. It was a very fast and humane kill and I accredit about 20% of that to this rage broad-head. Giving myself the other 80% for experience and skill as a hunter lol.I will say, I observed a massive entry would, not a huge exit but it was and immediate gushing shot, and 20yards later there she lie..Get a pack and try it out! Worth the money but I wish it came with extra replaceable blades as they are trash and bent up. Probably can buy blades separately, I just don’t know, and still wish it came with some extras on its own. Would buy again

Deadly
I was four for four with the Trypan this past deer season. Only one of the shots was not a complete pass through and that was on a hard quartering away shot that hit the offside shoulder. That deer only ran 74 yards before he piled up! I actually prefer the old collars. I had 2 collars break putting my arrow back into the quiver after hunts.Update: 4 Star to 5 StarI shot my first hog with the Trypan and was very pleased! I hit her quartering away and the tip of the ferrule poked out the offside shoulder. I was able to pull the arrow out and observed little to no damage of the blades or the ferrule. I wish I would have thought of taking a picture of the broadhead. Maybe next time. This broadhead gets the job done.

Amazing broadheads!
Pokes a massive hole. First time using these (recommended by John Dudley of Nock On) and they performed!2 deer this season and each one dropped instantly when hit with these. My only complaint is the “shock collars” that break after you shoot the arrow. They can’t cost nearly anything and I wish they’d include a bunch extra for target practice.
