i suppose it's nice, but it's not for me
I'm upgrading my one-piece cue sticks bundled with my pool table. This is my third one I've picked up, and I'd say it's definitely better than the cheap sticks, it's actually my least favorite of my new ones but it's twice as expensive.First, for a 19oz stick, it weights in a 18.25oz. It definitely felt light in my hands, particularly weighted toward the butt. The shaft felt too light and insubstantial. The finish on the shaft didn't feel as smooth as I'd like. The pattern on the butt is certainly eye catching and pretty, but it can be a bit much. Reminds of a New Orleans paddle boat casino with the flourishes and colors. I prefer having a wrap for a more secure grip - the butt felt smoother than the shaft (that sounded a bit dirty, sorry). On the positive note is that is straight and true with a consistent roll without any wobble. The assembly was secure and tight without any wiggle. In the end, I'll keep this cue in the corral for players who prefer this type of stick. But I wouldn't get it again. Especially at the price point, which I feel is well above average for its grade level. I will only dock it one star for the high price and being a bit too light for its advertised weight, but I can't honestly remove stars for anything else. It's just not to my liking.

Poor quality.
There was a black mark in the maple wood (unpainted top piece). Not anything that could be wiped off as it was in the wood. Also, the connection points and end point of stick was plastic and marred. I was disappointed as the painting/design is pretty. Returned.

I love this cue
Not only did this make a great addition to my collection, it is well made with no curvature in the design, and I regularly bring it as my go-to cue when heading to the pool hall instead of my game room.

Solid, high quality construction definitely impresses
I love shooting pool when I get time. I have a couple cues that I purchased but they’re not special made or extravagant. I also have a nice case to carry them in as well as additional chalk in case wherever I go doesn’t have them. I saw this Wakefa cue and fell in love with the detailed ornamentation and quality when I first saw it. The photos, however, do not do it justice. There are things you can’t tell with the pictures or even video until you get this cue in your hands. First, I love a heavier cue, my other sticks are 21oz. This comes in 18,19,20,21oz and it’s a long 58 inch stick with 13mm tip. The high gloss, epoxy finish handle looks and feels great in your hand. It doesn’t have threaded, rubber or foam grip, just a good solid gloss finished butt for a good solid connection to the cue. The stainless steel screw joint is very solid when it comes together. A huge plus, it comes with joint protectors on the exposed ends when you take it apart that keep the exposed ends from being bumped around in your carrying case. All of that just speaks quality. Finally, last but not least is the smoothness of the Canadian Maple shaft, which glides like silk over my chalkless fingers. I can’t wait to get to the pool hall!

Very nice cue
Weight and balance on this cue are very nice. It's one of the heavier cues I've bought so far as I build a collection. The tip has a lot more aggressive shape than I have had on some of my other budget cues. It breaks and shoots nice, though.I really like the covers for the joints on it. Goes together tight with no rattle. Straight as straight can be.I wasn't sure about the pattern at first. It's slightly tacky, but in a way that I love. The purple/turquoise/pink has a really nice late 80s, early 90s aesthetic. It definitely grew on me.The small details are also nice and pretty clean. There are a couple spots where the white has some black through it and I'm honestly not sure if it is intentional or a defect.Overall it is a very nice cue, and the different in price from some of my cheaper ones seems to be deserved.
