Great price for what it is so far a little learning curve one of them I had to return. It was incomplete other than that I do recommend.

Not a great experience.
This was not really a great product or great experience. At first I was only able to use the front camera, because I was waiting on the extension cord for the backup (Im in a minivan). The front camera works okay, no touchscreen, just buttons that sometimes work and sometimes you have to fiddle with. The main issue I have with the recording process is I had to download a special viewer (at their recommendation) to be able to even SEE the videos it records. Not to mention - every time I view one or try to "edit" it (ie; put multiple videos together or similar) it crashes any software Im using because they aren't saved as "mp4" files, but something else entirely. UGH. Frustrating. They had no help for me there. They make it so that you have to wait to get the "free" backup camera extension cord - for so long (I waited 2+weeks) - that by the time you actually get to try it out .. its too late to return the camera, if you don't like it.I took the time to install this twice, because the first time the backup camera was broken.. they had to send again. (more time that went against my ability to return) They proceeded to tell me that it was something wrong with my car (not sure how... as the only way this connects to my car is the power outlet..). VERY unhelpful. The camera is still messing up.. doesn't work all the time, and pretty much useless. And I was unable to return after all the waiting. So, money spent for no good. You may get lucky with this one.. it may work for YOUR needs. It doesn't for mine, and then stopped working properly all together. Not confident in it at all. Totally a bummer.

Cheaply made, but works
Overall, does what it says it will. However, there are a few issues. The biggest issue is that the camera requires that you periodically format your card. It will not do this automatically. So, there is always the possibility that the camera could not be recording when you need it. There is a notification, but many other available cameras have loop recording which automatically clears out old video. The camera is also built cheaply, so I have several small complaints: The video quality suffers at night and the camera cannot turn far enough to the left for me to get a centered view. the camera also shakes out of alignment when I go over a speed bump. The cheap plastic rattles loudly on slightly bumpy roads which can be irritating. The clock slowly falls out of sync with real time. Finally, the cable is slightly too short to hide along the edge of my windshield.Otherwise, the system is pretty simple to use and does what it says it will. It’s relatively cheap for a decent camera with a decent mirror extension. Though the camera itself gets bumped out of alignment easily, the mirror is well-mounted and stable.Aside from the lack of loop recording, this camera is capable and a decent product however, it definitely lives up to its cheap price tag.

All in all, a great deal on a first dash cam
I can't fault this system for the price and utility, it does everything it says. It worked out of the box. It is good enough to be helpful in an accident, providing the accident is within the wide angle view of the camera. As a backup (reversing) camera it works great. As a backup camera the image is flipped the way it ought to be. I knew this was not a particularly high resolution system so I'm not disappointed. So, what don't I like about this system? Not much, as I said, it does what it says it will do. I guess I hadn't realized that higher resolution would be important. Remember, as with all dash cam system, the lenses are wide angle to give a larger field of view. Like your car's RH outside mirror, "Objects may closer than they appear". That is the same as saying that everything recorded by the camera looks farther away than it is. That's the trade off with wide angle lenses. But, if it's important to be able to read license plates, this will only do that when they're very close. This is where the resolution of the system comes into play. While reviewing recordings on my 17.5" laptop screen, I could see that the resolution was one of the limiting factors in being able to read license plates. If you only need to read the license plate of a car that hit you then they were probably close enough. Unless it was a side swipe situation, then there would be some doubt, maybe, maybe not.Overall this camera was a great deal, performs well within it's limitations, and is probably as good as any other system with similar resolution. Since this one was cheaper than all the other similar units, I would have to say this is the best of them all. As for me, my next dash cam system will be capable of higher resolution.I meant to add that the rearview mirror is good, dim the way I like it and clear. Yes, it's blue but that no big deal to me. I tried to add a wiring kit to hide the power connection and it didn't work. I've read lots of reviews of wiring kits and they seem to be rife with problems. This camera comes with a long cable to a cigarette lighter adapter. After returning the non functional dash cam wiring kit, I went out and bought a 12v power socket and fuse tap. I wired the fuse tap to the socket and ran the cameras power cable inside the headliner and down the A pillar on the 2004 Town Car and plugged it in the to socket, powered of the radio circuit. It works beautifully. Also, I thought I might mention, one of the reasons I bought this system is because it's not touchscreen, I'm not a fan of fingerprints on my rearview mirror.
