Perfect fit, finish, look and feel compared to OEM.
Update: 09-11-2013: Keyboard arrived, installed now the constant beep at startup (after the coffee spilled) is gone and everything is working perfect again. Update 09-05-2013: Just ordered another one after spilling coffee on it. I pulled keys off and tried to clean up the coffee but all I got were constant "long" beeps. After drying it out and reinstalling it - almost works. Solution - just order a new one. Perfect fit, finish, look and feel compared to OEM. Exact replacement and was easy to install. Tech note: you MUST unscrew the screws with a keyboard symbol on the bottom and remove the battery and get the screws there. Then the the plastic cosmetic piece on top above the number and F keys will just lift off with gentle prying.

Looked and worked like the OEM keyboard, but I don't think it was easy to install..
My four year old was younger, and had destroyed a couple of the keyboard keys. They seem to go through that phase. I decided to replace the keyboard since it was so cheap. I wish I had made a video of the installation - I found a site that had the installation instructions. Just google for DV6000 keyboard installation - and go down about a third of a page to get past all of the keyboard sellers. Look carefully at how the cable is plugged in - the socket is a zif socket - you have to pop it open, gently, no parts come off, it clicks and the cable releases, then you put the new cable in, and --- half the keys don't work. You look at the keyboard, and you see that there is a hair in the zif socket. Unclick it, remove the cable, blast it with canned air, put it back...and reassemble - and you have gotten a corner of the keyboard under something, disassemble, reassemble, and third time is the charm. I'm familiar with small mechanical things, I can do small engine repair and get my lawnmower running, for example. Laptop repair is tough. This is an easy laptop repair, and much harder than, say, repairing a carburetor. But the keyboard is high quality, the keyboard lasted until my 21 year old idiot daughter let her one year old baby play with it rather than supervise her. I'll buy another keyboard to fix the pc again, soon.

Happy with Keyboard
I purchased this keyboard to replace the one on a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop. My friend had spilled soda on her laptop and the keyboard would not work. It was a very easy replacement and the new keyboard works just fine. I found that certain keys were sticking but it could be due to the soda rather than a malfunction of the new keyboard. I had go in 2-3 times and try to clean out the underside of the keyboard of sticky soda residue. The keyboard does not come with instructions on how to replace it on the laptop. So, either you need to know how to replace it or go to Youtube and search for the replacement video. The fit and function of the new keyboard worked well. I was pleased with the overall result.

Perfect Fit
As has been said many times already, this keyboard is a perfect replacement for the HP DV6000 laptop. The quality of the keys is perfect and its very fairly priced. The keyboard feels exactly like the original. Another reviewer mentioned that the ribbon cable does not have a bend like the the original. This is true, but I did not attempt the bend it like they did. I simply placed the keyboard in, connected the ribbon cable, and closed it up. Since the keyboard is held by screws to the frame, I wasnt worried about the ribbon cable being damaged. As was said before there are no instructions included. I searched "replace keyboard dv6000" on Youtube and came up with several step-by-step videos showing exactly which screws to remove and how to swap it out. I had it done in less than 15 minutes, and thats being generous. The packaging was a bit light, but I had bought other items so it came packaged in a larger box with my other items. The box itself was thin with a thin styrofoam layer all inside a plastic bag. If you are worried about the packaging just bundle other items like I did and it will be fine. I also upgraded the HDD and reinstalled Windows 7. Between that and the replacement keyboard, the laptop feels brand new.

Very good, reasonable price, and easy to install
My HP Pavillion DV6700 keyboard had the letters erased from so much typing. It may have had to do with my long acrylic nails. Someone sent me a set of keyboard letters that I could stick on my keys, and that helped for a good while, but did not look that good. Later, I decided to look on line and see if they make replacements for keyboards, and I found a variety of prices. This one was the best, and it worked with my Amazon prime membership (free shipping). I love my new keyboard, and I found it easy to install, with instructions found on YouTube. Be gentle with your keyboard when you fit it in, though, because those letters are very tender, and can easily pup-up (with no way to pup them back in). Needless to say, my laptop looks almost like new (except for my touch pad!). I wish they made replacement touch pads, too. I don't usually write this much, but this one is worth it, and I hope it helps.

Like the original!!
Ok. First I don't want anyone to take my review the wrong way or get the wrong idea about this product. I just happen to waste an entire gallon of juice in my laptop. Thankfully I reacted quick and was able to get all of the liquid out of my laptop. In turn I ended up with a sticky keyboard. It still worked, but it was very hard to type of sticking keys. So I did a search and found this product for a good price. The only issue that I am having is that since I have replaced my keyboard, the left side towards the touch bar seems to have a bulge in it. For some reason it will not go away. The keyboard works perfectly fine and I even like it better than the original I had in my laptop before. The keys are quieter and the strike is very easy. I don't believe it is something that I have done, because I have taken apart laptop again and again and everything seems to be in place. Overall I can't tell the difference between the two keyboards.
