Are there replacement covers

It doesn't come with extra covers. I put a normal cover over mine anyway, although it's a bit of a squeeze. Definitely recommend though!

Is this a soft or a hard pillow

It’s soft but firm, for me worked pretty good as I hate those pillows that feels like a rock. This one gives you the support for your neck and it’s pretty comfortable.

Is this fire retardant?

It does have a fire resistant label on it yes.

size: How thick (height of) is this pillow?

It's about 14cm thick. It's a lovely pillow, very comfortable, and has helped with the arthritis in my neck. I can recommend it!
