Tall and sturdy
I bought this for my Motorhome. Works well. Easy to extend and can retract with click of the locking switch located on the bottom stage. Each section retract slowly in sequence a little like a air piston. After it is retracted just wrap the nylon strap around the steps and your done. I would recommend using cut sections of pool noodles wrapped around the ladder tube so the ladder doesn't scrap the side of your RV. Mine is 12.5 feet tall. doesn't bent very much even with my weight, 240+ lbs. Feels very stable.

Wonderful gift
Perfect gift for my dad for Christmas! He is getting older but still likes to be handy and this ladder allows just that. No more getting those bulky, heavy, ladders out at 70 years of age!

After ordering...
... I continued to read reviews and got concerned that the automatic closing feature was failing a bit too often. So I did a return and immediately ordered the other type that you have to close manually. I've been very happy with it.

Good idea, not great in tight places
The ladder works. The idea is brilliant but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired... it is too difficult to extend all the way because you have to extend it from the bottom up... Once it gets above your head you can obviously not extend it any further. The only way I found to extend it all the way is to lay it flat on the floor so you can extend the upper part. This means it is actually not very good in tight spaces.

Takes getting used to
The ladder was ordered for the slide out on the camper when we are camping. There is an adjustment period and to be honest if not for the mod that I did I am not sure if I would feel comfortable climbing on it. Our camper has a metal ridge running the length and back of the camper. If you are trying to climb onto the roof it can be scary because the metal ladder wants to slide on the metal ridge of the camper. Twice I almost fell off the ladder. I used some foam pads that I had and made a strap out of them to slide over the top of the ladder when I need it. Now when I use the ladder and it is extended to the position I want I slide on the foam strap to where I think the ladder will lay against the metal ridge. A huge difference, the ladder no longer slides along the ledge like it used to and I can easily get up and down off the roof of the camper with no issues. When I need the ladder to be a smaller length I already put on foam protectors so the ladder would not scratch the fiberglass on the camper when I am leaning it against the camper for like cleaning windows, etc. Collapsing the ladder takes getting used to. Trying to hold in the A buttons on the lower rung when the ladder is extended out to 12 feet is a challenge. Slowly getting used to it. For the price I have no problems with the ladder. The weight is no big deal as I just put the ladder in the vehicle when we take out to go camping and it is there if I need it. The two biggest issues for me was the ladder sliding around when going up on the camper roof and trying to hold it steady when collapsing the ladder.
